I did a search looking for my answer and couldn't find it. What I'm wondering is my dash gauge is broken and I picked up an aftermarket gauge. The gauge is a mechanical and electric gauge. I noticed the water temp sending unit inline with the upper rad hose could I just use the wires off that to connect to the aftermarket gauge.

Dont Cut Those Wires!!!!!!!! Thats The Water Temp Sensor.that Does Alot More Than Just Work Your Gauge

I picked up the Prosport inline adapter

Just cut the radiator hose, insert adapter, and connect sender

You can see it in the lower left of this pic

Sounds good thanks guys. The gauge came with a bunch of adapters looks like I just have to build a T and put it inline. And I would never cut wires. My plan was to put a plug on the new gauge and just unplug the connector at that sensor. So if that sensor does send a signal to the temp gauge in the dash wouldn't I be able to just "tap" into those to power my new gauge. Even though now I think I'll just go the mechanical route now just wondering.
