You read correctly! Last night, I installed my Tein full coil over suspension on my Pr0 5! I took it for a little spin and all I can say is damn. It handled pretty bad ass for it being on it's softest setting. I will have pics up soon! Just in case you were wondering, Tein has not released the Suspension yet!!! Hehehe!

What do you think of them ? Write a review after you have had them for a few days.

We are getting them in the online store, but like you said it is not available yet so not till Novemeber. You are one lucky b*stard !;)

I too miss a good coilover setup, I also had a 97 Civic with APEXi WS Coilover kit. I am really looking forward to possibly getting the Tein SS Kit.

I sold my rims for 1 grand. I picked them up from a friend of a friend. So far I have only been able to drive the car 3 times since I had the suspension on but during my short stints (hit a couple of twistys, couple of off ramps) I have to say that the car handles beautifuly! The car stays very flat (hardly any body roll at all) and the car just seems to say "Is that all you got boy!!!".

You don't want to know how much I got them for! Well let me tell you how I acquired them. If you look at the Tein website, look up Protege 5. The red P5 was there test/prototype vehicle. After they finished there testing, they gave the finished product to the guy with the red P5. Well to make a long story short, the red P5 was not his but was his fathers car. His father did not want the suspension and took the car back from him. So the guy had the suspension with no car to put them on... In comes me!!! How much you say... let me know if you think this is a deal... $700 shipped to my door!!!

I consider myself a very "Lucky Bastard"! Hehehe! I am very happy with the suspension. I will keep you guys posted!

Yeah...I saw that post

I can't remember off the top of my head where I saw it, but at first he said $1K right? Then it seems no one bought it so he dropped it to $700. I just got my Skunk2 coilovers but man, if I would've saw that a few days earlier I would've jumped right on them. That's a steal. My friend just put his Tein coilovers on his Acura TL Type S and it handles great! For such a large car, it had little body roll (on the softest setting).

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but body roll is mainly due to the lack of swaybars and soft spring rates. Granted the spring rates on the Tein SS Coilovers are nice and aggresive, but they definately aren't racing spring rates.

Oh I coulden't agree more but compaired to stock springs, and the ground controls, there is definately a big differance! I think the thing I like the most is that the car handles so well yet the ride is still tolerable (except on the stiffest setting... ouch!). I think with an AWR rear sway bar (19 or 21... I'm not sure yet) my car will be on mean handling machine!
