so the MINIMUM wheel size you'd need is 18 inches... methinks that's a little impractical for canadian winters :(

if you're spending $3000 on brakes.. spend another $1000 and get a winter beater (homework)

Hey who's interested in maybe doing a group buy? I have gotten a few people together on this before who's interested? Put your name down.

what series tire does one use on a stock 3 wheel? and on a 19?

If you stay with the same 205mm section width:
17" 50-series
18" 45-series
19" 40-series

Most people have been going to a 225 section width, though:

17" 45-series
18" 40 series
19" 35-series

Man... you people keep pushing that price higher and higher!

According to a post ssinstaller made on another thread, it's $1750-ish, not $3000!

hahaha. my bad.. i had no idea what the cost was for the 3.
and i was referring to cdn $$.
the KVR bigbrakes are $2400+tx... i was just assuming that a newer brake system for a newer car would be more $$.

my bad

Ahhhh... now that would make a difference. Only to about $2200cdn, though.

Do the stock 17" wheels clear the caliper or do you have to go with 18" if you use these brakes?

Ahem...

The front brakes don't even fit with the stock 17" wheels, there is no way they would clear a 16" wheel. My 19" wheels clear outside edge the calpier and rotors just fine, but there is only about 3/16 of an inch between the rim spokes and the caliper front.
As my dad used to say, "If you can't keep up, take notes." :D
