simple question are you putting forged internals or stock ? and what budget do you have, i can give you ideas of stuff you can do to make your Pro more fun to drive. i not an expert but. i've done lots of stuff with different stages and i have some knowledge and ideas what to do.

Well it's gonna be awhile before I go the forged route...I'm not really trying to make it a monster. If I can get 180whp I'll be fine. As far as budget, I really don't have one, because if I throw a number out there I'll exceed it (and hear b*tching from my wife!).

hahaha... I've been there and done that with the wife...

as for your protg you can do these:

A. Front Mount Intercooler, with HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve, and Turbo XS Bypass valve at the same time to recirculate, i can provide you pictures of how i had mine. and that way you won't hear that b**ch turkey !!! lol lol..

B. Protg Gagage 626 mani, if you can port and polish would be great
C. some Adjustable Cam Gears will also help
D. JDM Intake Cam.
E. ACT Extreme Pressure Plate with ACT Street Performance Disk and if you can afford get the 6.8 lbs flywheel from Spec. or 7.5 Fidanza one.
F. Corck Sport S-Pipe and J-pipe with a custom 3 Inch Turbo back Exhaust with HKS Hi Power Muffler.. big tip looks damn sweet in the Protgs.
G. AWR Just the Front motor Mount with a 70a durometer, that way you avoid vibrations like an 18 wheeler, if you don't mind then get the back and side inserts.. anyways PG offers the all new AWR Transmission mount, i bought it and just waiting to install it..
H. MSP ECU with AFC fuel and timing version with a good map or the supermap that way you'll make your engine run smoother and nicer

and keep it at 8 PSI. you shouldn't have any problems..

and I think with these not expensive setup your protg will come back to life and be very fun to drive

these is my advice.

ok this what im doing to his car miguel. fmic, msp turbo, my 2.5" j&mid to his magnaflow catback. hes gonna get the apexr1 cat back to go with the j&mid at a later date. Really to be honest for what hes looking for he shouldnt need anything else. One more thing **** running the dual valve setup lol. IMO its pointless and just a waste of money. Me personally im going to be running the boost sciences rdv on my car. im going to be doing this install in one weekend so im not trying to get over loaded with things that im going to have to do.

i get ya. but if you are using the stock MSP turbo kit, the only way to get rid off the annoying turkey is to recirculate front the hot turbo pipe to the injen CAI... that's how i did mine, and the car runned much better and no turkey that is very bad for the turbo

the rdv will be recirc'd from the cold pipe to the injen and yes it will cut out all turkey. ive been in one car that has it and know other owners of it. thats the main reason im going to run it instead of my greddy

wrong.
ive got a turbo XS RFL BOV, blows air into the atmosphere. runs perfect with a relocated MAF, and turkey is gone.

i never got the dual setup to work right for me, youre still releasing meter air from your system so in theory it shouldnt ever work. ever since i relocated my maf its been smooth sailing no more problems.

i really don't like the idea of relocated MAF. i try it my self in my car, and the car runned like crap. plus there is no benefits to relocate, atleast didn't notice any better in my car. you might damage your maf instead.

relocating the maf to after the BOV/BPV allows you to vent to atmosphere without worrying about stalling the engine out.

All the air that passes the MAF will remain in the engine system. The air is accounted for and therefore "metered".

When we vent to atmosphere while leaving the MAF where it is, air is lost out of the system and the ecu does not know how to account, or actually not-account for how much air is lost. Car runs rich and stalls.
