I'm not Ryan.... but I'll answer...

If you have hard pipes, you'll need to cut a chunk of the cold side pipe out. You'll have to cut a little more than the length of the maf. Then you'll need to buy two couplers.

This comes with a warning though. Having the maf on the "charged" side of the turbo will increase your chance of breaking the air vane inside the maf. Maf's are expensive to replace. I remember years ago someone was selling an upgraded maf. I don't have the link though. sorry.
 
Well it's gonna be awhile before I go the forged route...I'm not really trying to make it a monster. If I can get 180whp I'll be fine. As far as budget, I really don't have one, because if I throw a number out there I'll exceed it (and hear b*tching from my wife!).
I feel ya brother. My wife doesn't know the full extent of my monetary madness involving this car.
 
maybe you had your maf facing the wrong way possibly?

C'mon Ryan, even Stevie Wonder will notice if you have it the wrong way, if you put the MAF in the Wrong way the conector will be in the left side of the pipe facing the engine, there is no way you can put it wrong without knowing it. its obvious
 
ehh you dont need to. i dont but my bov is also recirculated. if you get the rdv you wont have to worry about it anyway.

im just sayin man lol **** ups happen. i havent heard off ppl's cars running shittier after relocation if anythign they say it runs better and is smoother. But hey every car is different right?

hahaha... in my case my car was running bad, and the idle was crap.. i putted back the MAF to the CAI, and added a feeding from the Hot turbo Pipe to recirculate to the CAI with a Turbo XS BPV, all of problems solved. better throttle respond, no turkey, no stalling and no risk to break the little needle inside the MAF they run for like around $ 200....then after i did my Haltech E6X, MAF and o2 Sensors were not needed and removed them...
 
yeah but now your car isn't legal with a haltek defeats the whole purpose...

says who my car is not street legal ? in Miami there is no Inspections of anything, and these car is getting shipped to spain where i live now, and also there is no problem with it here, i just need to pass Co2 Inspection and get the lowest posible. peace of cake... just a good adjustment and ready to go..

You can technically pass inspection if you leave al lthe factory s*** in place and "thinking" it's doing something. Alot of work though, and we have NO inspections of any kind here and we don't care about the environment in Alberta, so not having a catalytic converter is legal...
 
My hi-flow cat gives me a cel but if I reset the cpu it passes inspection.

probably the o2 sensor in your cat is broken.... just remove the check engine light bulb or reset it, that sensor is only to tell you when the cat is not present or damage, add a Spark plug spacer to the o2 bung and your ready to go.. no more cel

i removed mine since the check engine light will be on all of the time do to the haltech.

You can technically pass inspection if you leave al lthe factory s*** in place and "thinking" it's doing something. Alot of work though, and we have NO inspections of any kind here and we don't care about the environment in Alberta, so not having a catalytic converter is legal...

they do OBDII inspection in new york ? do they plug in a computer in your OBDII Terminal ?

in here in spain they just check that the brakes are good. the wheel bearings, shocks, all lights are fine, and Co2 Test. thats all.. no OBDII test... what i like from here is the Gasoline Octane, regular unleaded 95 and premium unleaded 98, and in some shell gas station in here they put 100 and ive heard of some gas stations that sells 105... these is awesome if you have a methanol injection kit installed. the higher the octane the better the car runs..

Cmon men, give me a break... you and probably your children aint going to see none of these Global Warming thing. by the Way, in United States they dont give a damn thing about Global Warming, and they are not doing anything to prevent it. in here in europe that subject is very serious and there is laws already for these. and all of the European Union Contries are working seriously about these issue. in the mean time im going to have lots of fun with my car in here..
