Each person is different. Call up bully, tell them what you have and what you want to do, and they will get you something that suits you.

Enough already...His english is bad enough.

Now I can't understand a F$%^in' Thing!

Okay man, get a SPEC (www.specclutch.com) Stage 4 or 5 for the Mazdaspeed protege. And also the lightweight flywheel.

Does that spell it out for ya?

I dunnio man, I think you're nuts thinking you have a $50,000 Protege. Guys like me and Pirana, and joka1, we're all into our s*** for like $80K damn near (and unlike you, we actually DO the work ourselves!) but still, realize that I could probably get nothing better than $18,000 for my car should I wish to sell it. But I don't so that's a moot point. Anyways, mods take away fro mthe car, not add to it. The only "mods" I guess I've got that might be of value to someone are the turbo setup and the built engine. Everything else detracts from it...

Hey Maxx thanx for the advice about the clutch but please quit already the 50k sell thing ok, its enough people.. my whole point was to let you guys know how crazy and insane prices people are paying in here to own a Speed 3, RX-8 etc, and as a simple comment i said for that amount of money in here probably theyll buy my car better if ever is for sale, you get the point ? i am not wishing or thinking im going to sell it at that price or what ever price, i havent even enjoy my car after all of the stuff i have done to it how am i going to sell it ? never these toy of mine is not for sale so please its enough about the drama and circus that its rolling in these thread, i really respect your opinion and appreaciate your advices you know, but please i know my english is not as you as you guys but i sure try.. thank you. thanx for the clutch and oil pan advice..

what do you guys think about ACT vs Spec when it comes to clutches,,,.. i found a web site that sales the spec clutches very very cheap.

these are the specs of the Specclutch Website about clutches for our proteges

Performance Kits

Stage 1: 289 lbs Torque = $ 419
Stage 2: 330 lbs Torque = $ 499
Stage 2+: 365 lbs Torque = $ 539
Stage 3: 395 lbs Torque = $ 509
Stage 3+ 475 lbs Torque = $ 659
Stage 4: 395 lbs Torque = $ 509
Stage 5: 590 lbs Torque = $ 609

Okay, like I said I'm going to help you out. Get the SPEC 6.8lb flywheel, and choose a clutch. The ones from the normal Protege are cheaper, and will still work on your car, I phoned SPEC and the only difference is the torque rating on the clutch, so the Stage 3+ for the standard Protege for example, is only like $500 (that's $150 less) and holds 425 instead of 475. Are you willing to pay $150 just for 50 lb ft?

The stage 4 and 5 clutches are not sprung in the center, and will give instant engagement, similar to that of a race car. They're much lighter though... Also when u order from SPEC for $75 they wiill add the "lightweight" option to any clutch, which they drill out the pressure plate shaving off 1.1lbs. So take the $150 you save by going to the Stage 3+ from the normal Pro, and get the "lightweight option."

So it sounds to me that your car is more performance oriented, and less of a street car. In which case I'd go with the Stage 5. But if you are in traffic alot, etc then definitly go with the 3+.
