That is the question. I have a very hard time deciding if I should pay off some debt or splurge a lil bit for the new year and get a TBE & MS CAI or a set of black wheels for my silver Speed3. Car is completely stock other wise. Responsible thing and pay off credit card debt or stuff that I wont use till april or may when it starts to get nice out again. Advice, suggestions, any and all feedback is welcomed... thanks.

Buy a Cobb SRI and then use the rest to pay off your debt. You are then responsible while still getting a really fun mod.

I wholeheartedly disagree with that. Black wheels are a nice touch that will make your car standout without being flashy. I very rarely see a car with black rims on the road. If anything silver is getting "played out". If you are going to get black rims, which i couldnt find a decent set of, please dont get a polished lip. Polished lips are certainly getting "played out".
Thank god thats a opinion, because its not even close to the truth! Black wheels are sexy as hell on a silver car! Oh and pay off the debt....

I totally agree with you on this. When I got my black wheels for my P5 a long while back it was still cool. But now thats all you ever see is black with a polished lip. They arent my style anymore. And I will never get silver rims.. unless they are stock or really really rediculousely cheap.

The grown up in me says pay off debt! The kid in me says get some wheels! I should have some wheels on the way next week so I am probably the wrong person to be giving out advise....

well the topic says rims or tbe... i'd always go for performance over looks first, and the stock ms3 rims looks good enough already, so i wouldnt really worry about getting rims as the first step, not to mention a tbe makes the whole car sounds sexier
I agree, performance over looks. the car looks good as is. But since you can't really enjoy performace right now pay off the debt.

I say get the TBE and CAI over the rims... I think you'll get better enjoyment out of the performance gains than a set of wheels...

Ok here is what Im looking at. I have around 2500 to work with right now. I plan on paying off 1 of my credit cards, and then I could either just get an intake (MS CAI OR COBB SRI..thats another thread though lol) and put the rest of the money towards other debt of mine. Or I could pay off the 1 credit card and get the wheels (which are really nice and a great deal) or last option, option C pay off the 1 credit card and then get the TBE. So either way Im paying off 1 credit card, just trying to see if I wanna spend the rest on goodies for the car or put the rest towards other debt. I appreciate all the responses which kinda shocked me. I figured everyone would be like get the rims or TBE but most have said pay off the debt.

if you're carrying a credit card balance ANYWHERE, take care of the debt first. think about it this way: with the money you saved from interest from getting robbed by CC payments, you could get a cobb SRI!

IF your able to get yourself out of debt, then go for it....the mods will always be there.
And im with ForceFed on the wheel choice. I wouldnt go so far as to say black wheels are played out all together, but there starting to be in the MS3 crowd. Maybe im wrong cause i dont keep up with the MS3 frenzy, but everytime i click a link with an owner getting new wheels....there black! and theres a 50/50 chance that there black OZ Ultraleggera's.

I would focus on the debt....if you need to get something and mod your car, try and find a used CAI or something cheap. I just put my stock intake back on and the car is no fun anymore
