Tapping ashtray light

I want to tap my ashtray light with one of those t connectors, but i wanted to make sure first that i could tap enough power safetly to a switch with 2 neon tubes for under the dash.(no ricer comments, you dont like then dont post, it just gets old after a while) But i want to tap the ash tray light because the neons will come on along with all of the other automatic night time lighting stuff. But i will still have a switch incase cops come...

so is this wire of a high enough gauge?

and how the hell do we get to the power wire for that light?

Lift up on the Shifter boot and remove that. There is two screws there at the bottom. Then put your finger in the cig lighter and pull it out. Should come out pretty easy and then the light is right there.

is the gauge of this wire enough to take power to a switch with 2 neons
