Just picked up another white 2002 P5, not as nice as my last one ... but that can be fixed. I still have plenty of insurance money left over and am looking to drop a few grand into this P5 to make it even better.

The vehicle came with pitted chrome rims and cheap new tires I want to junk and replace, but with what? If these junk rims will fit onto my friends 8g Mitsubishi Galant I'll probably just let them have the rims.

I'm partial to Pioneer audio equipment, I had a Pioneer touchscreen in my last P5. I hadn't gotten around to installing new speakers. Recommendations?

I've already ordered a stub antenna, spark plugs, timing belt kit and have new sway bars, rotors, etc on hand already.

Now how should I spend all this moolah?

I'll post pictures tomorrow when it's daylight.

Sweet! Tomorrow is now here, so pics;)

I too like Pioneer audio. It is great quality for the money.

Also in for pics! Love me some white rides!

I'm also a fan of pioneer head units, very user friendly.

I'd be jumping on a nice set of coilovers and figure out your wheel situation.

I've been a Pioneer user for the past 5 or 6 years. But I'm not sure if I'll be buying one for my P5. My younger brother bought a new one a year ago and he has had a bunch of problems with interference and engine noise.. We tried everything and nothing seems to help. Seems like the quality has been dropping in the past few years.

As odd as it may be, I'm thinking about picking up a Boss touchscreen unit from Sonicelectronix.. It has very good reviews. Maybe Boss has stepped their game up.

Weather hasn't been that nice today, but here are some pictures as it sits right now. Car has some minor body issues and a busted fog lamp (should be here next week!). I already had a bit too much fun last night ordering stuff :D

I've ordered NGK spark plugs, wires and coils, new filters, new motor mounts, timing belt kit and wipers, etc :D (I'm praying for rain, we need it bad.) I would have put the Mazda Tribute wiper switch and nozzles on if it had been nicer outside.

I'm thinking these ugly chrome wheels could be painted and used for awhile until I stumble upon something I like, but they've got some crap Primewell tires that need to be thrown away.

I've had Sony, JVC and Pioneer head units, I would consider a Kenwood. I won't touch a BOSS or Jensen.

Got myself 4 brand new 195/50ZR-16 Continental ExtremeContact DWS for the wagon. (Haven't decided whether to paint or replease the rims, not looking to spend more than $600 on wheel, any recommendations?)

Everything else for the car has arrived I just haven't had time to have my mini car Christmas day yet.

I started repairing the back bumper from when the previous owner hit something. I ordered the "correct" base coat color from AutomotiveTouchup.com, either they have idiots working for them or their system is flawed because despite ordering pure white (A3D) I received CHARCOAL! The invoice in the box even said pure white ... can't say I recommend this company.

For a new head unit I'm leaning towards getting my previous unit in the car (Pioneer AVH-X2600BT) or putting a navigation head unit in (Pioneer AVIC-6000NEX). Anyone have any good experiences with Pioneer navs?
