Twizted jeckel I know what you mean when you said the rotary's get hot I have had the whole manifold, down pipe, and mid pipe section glowing. I lit a cig off of the section past where the cat should be, yeah it's turbo.

Probably had clogged cats but yeah they are extremly hot.

You were the one commenting on how it was a dumb idea to not boost cause it just can't happen since you can't control your right foot(nor your mouth for that matter) to stay away from a certian amount of boost before the car is fully warmed up. You yourself even put a "flamesuit" on after you had your piece indicating it wasn't a nice agreeable comment on your part.

Sorry if there wasn't any cats on his vehicle. He said it was glowing hot all the way to the end of his midpipe which is pretty far down the exhuast trail and not even a rotary should be causing that. Could be a condition of having a lean mixture in his A/F ratio but I'am sure that's another smartass comment right?

As for opinion, most everything stated on here is an opinion. Most everyone would like to think of themselves as being right but it's not the case all the time. Where you get all this s*** about me being the ultimate authority I have no idea. Where was my smart ass comment that didn't come from being defensive from some one else's comment.

I thought this was a civilized technical discusion that I was giving my part on with the advice I said on the 1st post to this thread.

I was fortunate to buy a turbo car from a dealer that owned the same car and he also raced it at Mid-Ohio. We have to educate the new turbo owners in the same way I was educated in 88/89. They really have to know the basics of warm it up and cool it down. You people did great - now BE NICE!!! (getsome)
