Switching Dash/Console LED lights

so I was talking to my fiance the other day and he says he is switching out his dash/console lights on his nissan with different color LED lights and I was thinking about doing the same. Has anyone done this with their speed?

I'm probably gonna take my dash off sometime this weekend and check, I'm gonna change all the red/orange lights with either blue or white if I can. So that like my seatbelt, engine, door lights light, all that light up blue. He couldnt change his CD buttons but I'm gonna see if I can switch the red lights from on my cd player buttons. It looks pretty neat in his nissan so im gonna tinker with it in my speed. Just wondering if anyone has tried this.

Do you know if they were able to change the CD buttons and all that or only the ones on by the speedometer and stuff?

yeah I'm pretty sure you can change the color of any of the interior lights... I found the thread on M3F but the pictures are broken and this forum doesn't allow linkage to M3F :|

All of the red lights are LEDs, so you have to desolder the existing ones and solder back on new ones. If you have a steady hand you should be able to do it. There's far more in the way of walkthroughs on other forums but we're not allowed to link to them.

is there any way to make the BLUE lights in the guage cluster light up brighter? I like that they accent the circles and make them blue but I would love them to be bright blue circles! Anyonw ever tried this or has any links? thanks

^^^^ anything on that as well? I'd really like to mak the blue led's in the guage clusters MUCH brighter and light up the whole circle. Has anyone swapped those to make them brighter blue?

not sure if the ms uses the same type of LEDs as this bike, but really it's a matter of removing the face, desoldering, and resoldering. this may help a little

There are some kits on ebay for like $30 for all the light, and you install them yourself.

I personally like the red, it's kind of cool. Just wish the blue LEDs at the top were brighter!
