I just got a mp3 and i would like to know if just getting lowering springs is good since it comes with the tokiko shocks. if so what kind of springs are good for mp3??? (scratch)

How many miles on the suspension on the car currently?

Either way, what are going to use the car for? Do you want to lower it, or are you looking for a performance gain?

Your answers will help with suggestions.

The car has about 40,000 miles on it and I am looking for performance and good looks
I would replace the struts with new ones then, just to have new struts and springs in at the same time. You are already going to have to disassemble the spirngs and struts to change out the springs anyway.

The mileage isn't bad, but the struts might be going. The stock Tokicos I had on my car I think were slowly dying after 35000.

As for springs, people seem happy with everything that is available. Tein and Eibach seem to be the most popular and offer a slight drop over the stock Racign Beat springs.
