The bored and sleeved block is complete!!

It's been a while but the bored out and sleeved block was picked up last week. I had previously posted a picture of the wrong big turbo but please see the correct turbo that will be used with this engine. I will keep you guys updated on when this setup is ready to be dynoed.

Sorry for the late response, I have been very busy at work. We are hoping for 500 whp plus.

For a second I thought you made the protege motor into a 2.6?

Whats the biggest you can make a protege motor, if you can make it bigger? 2.1?

Update

NVMSP- Sorry for the late response. I checked with Manuel and it is possible to bore out the protege block out to about 2.3L but of course it will be costly.

On Thursday the owner of Supermazda3 gave me the honor of opening the Brembo Kit that came in for the car. I felt like a kid in a candy store. We were hoping to have the car ready for Hot Import Nights Orlando on 7/19/08 but that will not happen.

The sound system has already being purchased and is currently being installed. We need to find some nice rims to with these Brembos.

The wheels are here + sound system partially done

We made a decision on the wheels and purchased 18x8 Konig After burners with primza lip. The car is now rolling on BFGoodrich g-force tires. The sound system is just about done and was done for free. We are just waiting on a custom hidden box for the back so the speaker will not be visible. For now there is a large 12 inch sub in a regular box. Later on we will have someone make the custom box or false wall to hide the sub.

The whole system is Pioneer from the radio, amps and speakers. The radio is a Pioneer AVIC 23 with navigation, xm radio and a 7inch screen.

The Brembos will be installed soon and then onto the engine build.

Brembo Installed

Just a quick update, the Brembo Big Brake Front Kit has been installed, please see the pics. The building of the engine will begin soon, I will keep you guys updated.

Just a little update...I got to sit in this car a few weeks ago and its INSANE. Nothing like SuperProtege. It a completely different beast. I can't wait to see how it will run on higher boost and ultimately its final setup.

Clarification

The 465 whp and the 477 whp were achieved using a tuning software (not Haltech), pump gas and stock internals. More info to come.
