That's awesome!!! A moderate 4-5 PSI and I'd be more than happy! More usable torque for around town never hurt anyone.

how much is he gonna charge
i think i remember him mentioning around 2500 or so.. dont quote me on the price, but in that area.

I believe it will be non-intercooled as well.

benefits of the supercharger over turbo?

Turbo is better for maximum power output. So if you want big HP numbers, turbo is your best bet. With a turbo, it's an on or off affair. You don't make power until you reach a certain RPM.

S/C are better for more instant response. Much more low-end torque. You are always making power, so it's mash the gas and go. Boost builds as RPM increases. You won't make as much max HP...but you aren't dealing with lag issues either.

What's the old saying..."you drive torque and buy HP?"

And I'd have to have an intercooler with my S/C. Not a chance in hell I'd run without one.

From what I've heard is that a supercharger will give you better over all performance but a turbo will give you better fuel mileage and better top end performance....

Like the others have said... Turbo lag is a big problem... If you have an auto, a turbo sucks.... If you have a stick, rev it up and go..... But you won't win any light to light drags with a Vette anyway...

Plus with either you will have to go with premium fuel for the higher compression both will give you...

If you bought your P5 for economy but with some fun... then either will set you back about 30 cents per gallon... Not fun....

Think hard on it.... 3 to 4 grand plus an extra couple bills a year in gas money... Is it worth it to be just a smidge faster once in a blue mooon??

For most it is enough just so they can say "my car does the quarter in... or my goes 0-60 in this..." Or to brag about the $$ you spent on this or that..... but really.... will you use that power when your not showing off???

Many say how slow their P5 is.... but when you look at the stats for all cars made in the last couple years the P5 is in the top 20 percent as far a fast is concerned.... So if 80 percent of the vehicles made in the last 2 years are slower that yours.... is yours really slow??? No.. It may not be the fastest.. but it is not slow by any means. You get what you pay for... And none of us have paid for a Viper have we??

Later.....
