My car does not have one

Anyone have one?

Check under the passenger seat......you might find a treat!

If you have the MS3 GT with BOSE, than you have a sub. If not, not.

I have Bose 6 CD sterio but there is no sub. I have very little base. I have two Volvos that do not have subs in them but they each have way more base than the Mazda.

If you have a sub in your car could you tell me where it is in your car.

Thanks.

If you have a Mazdaspeed3 Grand Touring, then the Bose stereo is standard, and the subwoofer is located under the passenger seat. If you have a Sport you are out of luck. Best bet is to check your Monroney Label. Even with the sub, it still does'nt produce very much bass.

its proly a 10...and yea its under the pasenger seat...o yea when i first got the car, i had a penny stuck in the port for so long and it was really annoying

Would a 10" even fit under that seat? I dont know about the Speed3's, but my Mazda3 doesnt have much room under the seats.

i duno , i said maybe i never took my seat out to measure...u cna proly find out online or soemthing at mazda.com

I have some base now

I just checked out my car again and using a flashlight I could see that there is something by Bose under the passenger seat. I turned on the Cd and could just barely feel some base coming from the sub. I started reading in the manual about the stereo and saw that if you press the right button for two seconds it will reset your base, trebel, faid and balance settings. I pressed the button and it said "clear". When the stereo restarted all the settings were at "0". I adjusted the base to +6 and it seems like I have more base than before and there is now vibration coming from the sub under the passenger seat. I will do some more testing when I drive the car to work tommorrow morning.

yea its all in a very small ported box...u can feel the air coming out of the port feel on the front left of the passenger seat..the port is there

Could you possibly replace the factory sub with an aftermarket one to give it more bass? Maybe something that has a manual gain knob you could run right under your dash. Any one have any ideas of what might work?

u could but the best bet is to jsut get a sub in the trunk, small amp and a nice 10 would be good , it would jsut add to the stock bass etc.

Hello,

This is my first post! I am planning on getting a MS3 in a few months. I will be getting the GT. I was hoping someone has added a Sub to the BOSE system. Has anyone done this yet? Can you post how you hooked it up. I know BOSE stereos can be very tricky. I had some issues in my Infiniti FX.

THanks,
Definitive

i havent hook up anything to my bose car stereo...but if u have aftermarket head unit u jsut run it like you normally would and it adds to the bose...there are harnesses for the 3 that plug right in ..that is what i used and its fine...if iw anted to add sub i jsut have to run power wire..rca wires and thats it...

Yea, I actually used to be a stereo installer while I was in college. I dont really want to change out the stock HU. Im not sure if they have the wiring harness for the Bose? The wiring is usually pretty weird.

Anyway, I was hoping someone has added a sub to the Bose stereo I sub and amp ready to put in it. Well I have to get the car first!!!(hand)

Definitive
