I was thinking about getting a slim style subwoofer installed under possibly both front seats. Is there an output on the stock Bose stereo to hook up an amp? Would I have to change decks? Anyone installed a slim style sub under the seats? Does it work? I was thinking of a flush mount in the hatch but I'm trying not to remove the spare.. just in case. I want a sub installed without taking up any space, hence the under the seat. Not looking to compete in Auto Audio competitions. Just looking to add more bass to the stock Bose. Nothing crazy, extravagent, or too expensive. Any pointers would be helpful, thanks.

The Bose amp is under the driver's seat, so there's no room there unless you remove the amp.

I don't know how much room slim subs need, but I'd say you've got at least 6" to work with under each seat if you remove the Bose amp and the Bose sub.

I don't think there's any connectors on the Bose amp, I think you're stuck with using line-level to RCA adapters.

The stock Bose system has a amp & sub? It doesn't sound like it. :) Wonder if I can just change out the Bose sub and/or amp & get a stronger sub installed.

Hmm... I'm sure you could hook up another sub, I wonder how much power it would get though... Maybe about 100 watts?

lol.. no... maybe 50... MAYBE

and thats @ 1ohm...

I'm pretty sure that for the power they are giving it.. the bose sub is doing the best that could be asked of it.

You want more bass, You need another amp.
