SU TMIC Installed.

yea i called su yesterday and spoke with Mark again! i have been calling him once a week on this issue and i am getting a little upset with the whole thing. he has been telling me that the beginning of July it would be out... and when i called yesterday he told me that he doesnt know when this so called "prototype" would be out. all he keeps telling me is that he will call me when it gets to them. i dont see how hard this whole process is tho...i mean all you need it to re weld a new pipe on the hot air side and thats it. i mean besides mine not fitting right it was also shipped with a dent in the hot air pipe and thats why mine has such a huge kink in it. i am almost thinking of asking for a refund on both the tmic and the boost tubes and get a cobb ap or something

Man sry for the all the BS u have been through smokey. I don't think SU makes that TMIC themselves so thats probably one of the reasons its taking so long.

yea i know mark said there is some other company creating this "prototype" but come on su its been 2 months already!! its not that hard to re weld a new angled hot pipe! we are prob not going to hear about this new product for another month or so the way this company is going

thanks for the sympathy coyfish!! your lucky you got the better tmic lol

and i dont hate on su or mark for that matter. mark is a cool guy who has done nothing but bend over backwards for me when i order through them. i just wish i could use my intercooler tubes cause they are waiting to be installed when this new tmic comes

I just don't understand how everyone elses could be different than mine. Other than the hot pipe kink the brackets fit fine and nothing has snapped . . . Mine is one of the originals too . . .

Last week, they must have sold them all. It wasn't mark that I talked to. He also said the remaining su tmic didn't have the kink problem that everyone is talking about and that they re enforced the tabs.

just called mark now and asked again about it and still no word on when the new intercooler will come. bonafide do you remember who you talked to?

I just talked to Mark, he said he doesn't have the "prototype" in yet. I told him I was sending the broken one back and he is going to refund me my money.

I'm through screwing around waiting for an intercooler that might not even be in the works. They told me it would be in last week for certain, and I even gave them an extra week!

Smokey - I suggest you make them give you an ETS or refund.

Ets tmics are backorderd. I have been waiting since May 20. Now they are telling me early august. I am dying here. The summer will be over by the time I get my tmic!!

well what do you guys think? should i return my tmic and intercooler tubes for the cobb ap? or just deal with what i have and wait for this prototype? also from what i heard the ets has the same problem with the rear hot pipe being kinked too.

Well, I waited this long, so Im going to wait for the new one. I understand that the hot pipe section will be a casting, and not a pipe welded on. I sure hope all the "kinks" are being worked out before the final product hit the market.
Hopefully, this will be a sweet IC when it gets done.

Personally, I'm just going to spend my refund on a PG reworked turbo. Maybe after I get the turbo reworked, they will finally release the new version.

That sounds like a good idea, but you'll really need a nice new IC after you install the new turbo.
I think about an upgraded turbo now and then, but I need to get some other stuff first. Hummm....HPFP, Test pipe, Full control flash, maybe a nice tune....and the list goes on.

While installing my CPE inlet I discoverd my front bracket holding my SU TMIC is also broken :). I guess you can stick me on the list awaiting the new TMIC. Haven't given mark a call yet.

SU no longer gets any of my business. Their parts are inconsistent, their customer service is non-existent and their product reviews are rigged.

Careful, the other mount will most likely break as well causing your bottom boost tube to fall down and stranding you somewhere, just like it happened with me. Mine's getting sent back Monday.
