in the pics ive seen of the interior they look like a good size. my question is for those that already ahve their MSP how big of a cup fits in there like a biggie soda from wendys or whatever fast food cup you have tried :D just wondering thanks

the biggest fast food cups will kinda fit in there, they will be angled a bit because of thier wideness. 20oz soda bottles are fine.

I think Mazda cup holders are among the best. God knows, the ones in my Nissan were useless.

Cheers!

I have never put anything larger than a 500ml water bottle. But there's more space in terms of diameter, to fit something as large as a 'Biggie' Size Wendy's Soda. Just don't go ripping corners with a refill of Coke or something :D

Why didn't Protege's come with rear cup holders???

I have not and will not persononally ever use the cupholders. not because they are small, I just dont want food in my car. I now eat in.

Cup holders are pretty useful. Only problem I have are with tall drinks, like Icee's, they sit in the cup holder, but are tilted back a little...Later,

Americans should get a hint from the rest if the world... you simply do not need to drink that much sugary crap! cupholders in euro cars barely hold a can of pop.

Sorry fellas, this is the first car I have baught that actually has cup holders, so I am gunna wear a hole in the bottom of them. HA HA HA...Later,

The cup holders (and bottle holders) are plentiful but none are adequately sized. I would buy into the jokes about how you don't need to drink soda or coffee, but, sheesh, what floors me is how much space on the console is taken up by the lighter and ashtray. That and the license plate holder on the front are the only two things that bug me -- and that is great that the problems are so small.

paper plates, laptops, cables, pliers, misc screws, dew, gatorade, dr pepper, poptarts wrapper..a binder...stack of papers...

and no cup holders :)

The large pops from Taco Bell fit in there. You can kind of wedge them underneath the radio bezel too but be careful not to scuff. Or just don't bring a beverage into your msp.

anyone try a bottle of beer!???

Yes, but only when my car is parked, immoile and I'm working on it. I still feel bad for even doing that. Where I live a cop would probably arrest me for having a beer near my whip.

Beer bottles will fit, but the rock back-forth and side-side when hustling around town (no, I am not a DUI...it was a 12oz bottle of something else, but it matches a beer bottle size)

I think the box between the seats(what the hell is that thing called again) can fit a slightly larger drink than the cup holders in a pinch. I could be wrong though, haven't tried it in a while.

i use that for a mini tool box. never know when the hard pipes are gonna blow off!
