I got to laugh at my friend the other day because his 2002 Sentra SE-R Spec-V lost all compression in the third cylinder with only 16,740 miles on the odometer, as soon as he gets his lawsuit with nissan settled he considering buying a mazdaspeed protege.

The 2002's definately had their share of problems. But the 2003's are much better with engine changes and a new tranny. Not to mention a nicer interior colour!

Now dont talk s*** bout the nissans gah I love em. Think about it Skyline, Silvia, 350Z, Maxima, even the ol Altima is now Bad Ass.

I have 17,360 miles on my Spec V, no blown motor yet. But I've had some paint issues with them, they won't do a thing about it. It's for sale right now. Making way for my 2003.5 Titanium speed.

you probably dont drive your car as hard as he does and/or you got lucky because he has found evidence of many 02 Se-rs doing the same exact thing.

ignornce is your strong point I see.

People who have blown engines, had

a) an early production 2002 model, before the engine revisions.
b) probally didn't break in the engine properly.

Yea, alot of people seem to have paint issues, but mazda seems to have paint problems too.

I'm just waiting for enough money to buy out a skyline when they get here (if they get here)

or start my S14 --> S15 project yummy :)

Grimace, U r absolutely right man. I test drove one of it, it is awesome man. I like the handling and the power. I test drove it on a very cold day. There were lots of snow and ice on the streets but the damn thing rocked man. Only thing that sucks is the feeling, you wont get the race car feeling in Spec V, they are very smooth. As soon as u shift in to 6th the noise dies.

yea, 6th gear is for saving gas...which is REALLY helpful now since all the gas prices are so damned high!!!!
