My '07 SP3 is my first car that I have owned tha's actually worth putting any money into... That being said... Would I go through my dealer to order the MS CAI? And I would assume that the answer would be the same for the MS lowering Springs. Thanks in advance!

I did try to search the forums for the answer before I posted.

Are you asking this for warranty reasons?

I would suggest getting your stuff at the best price, where ever and how ever that may be. Plus, you can always work a dealer on part prices too.

Hope that helps.

Well yes I am asking for warranty reasons. I ordered the Injen CAI and have it sitting in my basement at the moment. But I was reading a bit on here about how the MS CAI won't void my warranty. Just couldn't find anywhere online to order.

It is all preference really. Yes Mazda will be more "helpful" if they see Mazdaspeed parts on your car. But that does not mean you are covered 100%. Don't get me wrong....I have a MS CAI on my Speed and it is cause I feel better that way. It seems like the majority of people go with MS because of the warranty. You choose what will make you happy.

Thanks for the replys but I still don't know how to go about ordering said MS CAI. :) Once I do that I can send my Injen CAI back. :P

You dont have to buy the intake from your dealer to have it installed by them. If they cant give you the price you want or you guys cant come to an agreement on a purchase/install deal, buy it somewhere else (online, local shop, etc.) and have the dealer install.

The part # is: GRMS-8M-L29

You'll find a few distributors online, but I'll go ahead and plug Protege Garage since they're an authorized vendor of this forum.

It's $310 including shipping on their site. Although it appears to be back-ordered until mid-July, they sent me mine within a week.

DONT USE THE INJEN IT MADE MY MOTOR FALL OUT!!!! Lol just kidding, it did it by itself. The Injen wont give you any warranty issues....

I sort of lost confidence in my dealer when they installed my CAI. I got it with the car, part ofthe deal since they damaged the first MS3 i was going to buy. They bit the cost and labor of the CAI. Anyhow, i was driving aroundfriday night and the car hesitated real bad. Lost some power and made some sputtering noises. I get home, pop the hood and my CAI blew at the 2 piece section. Turns out, they didnt crank the worm clamps down. I had to go in there, reposition them and crank em down with a 5/16" socket. Double check their work!

hahaha. wtf is up with these mechanics man? i can't believe they didn't tighten the clamps. ******' losers.

That's why I do all the work myself, I check it thoroughly just for the possiblity of having these kinds of problems.

Get the Cold Air you want, if the dealership works on your car within warranty usually they overlook the cold air because it doesn't cause a negative effect on your car, it actually helps. Unless of course you rip through a puddle with your throttle open.

I cant wait to see their faces with my meth injection, new ETS intercooler, exhaust and BPV.. (upyours)

Im going to let them change my oil. I got it as a deal, so im bringing my own oil for them to change...
