STS Miata - Project: Stronger Faster Lighter

I wonder if the stickers would have held the cat together... I need to take pics of it, the way it broke is ridiculous... I just ordered 1 from magnaflow and I'm having it overnighted so I can have it by the weekend. Which is awesome (puke)

Where's the welder when you need it?

Progress! We finally got all the bushings swapped over to the good rear lower control arms last night. This morning I grabbed the re-packed hubs / spindles from Korey. Came back to the house and started putting bolts into holes O.o

Got the rear suspension back together; new top hats peeping out the bottom

Header's back in. See if you can figure out which one was the runner that got re-welded. Dave is ridiculous w/ the welding.

Replaced the cat, re-painted the cat-back w/ another coat of 1200 degree flat black ;)

Did the rear calipers clear the dust shields. I tried my best to put them back on straight just wanted to be positive

uh oh... ;)

No idea honestly, I haven't put the calipers back on yet. They didn't look like they were off at first glance, so it should all be good.

They have some sort of packing in them i assume?

Yeah. It's a 2.25" perforated tube with some packing around the outside of it, and a around that. If you were to take the turn-down off of mine, you'd be looking through a 2.25" hole LOL

Guh, I'm ALMOST there, and I'd be totally there if it weren't for you meddling kids! I mean... if it weren't for an endlink bolt being cross threaded. Heading to the lowes to pick up a new one and get the car washed after that. Let's see, today I did the rear brakes, cranked down the rear hub bolt and hit it w/ the punch. Set the rear alignment to where it was (getting aligned / corner balanced this weekend) when I pulled everything apart. Set the rear ride height. Set the front ride height (had to pull the front shocks and move the coilover sleeve down a notch in the shock), and put some anti-sieze on the new rear studs. The car looks good, I'm about to go for a drive and hope nothing falls off LOL. Really the only thing left is the glove box, which I simply haven't felt like doing yet haha

I hope you get this all complete in time for Dixie. I will be there, but in CSP, car number 76 & 176. Stop by and say hi if you have time.

Oh snaps! More CSP fodder :-D. I look forward to it.

had some m4d tyt3 custom delrin offset bushings made for the rear upper control arms (the bushing in the knuckle). They were installed last night, set screws in place to keep them steady. Finally able to align it into reasonable numbers for as low as we're running it :).

We currently are only running about 1* in the rear, but we can pretty much dial in as much camber as we want w/ the regular eccentric bolts.

We'll probably end up around 1.5* rear, 2* front.

One thing I keep forgetting to ask. Once you get the MS working are you going to be tuning for E85? Can the miata flow enough extra fuel to make it worthwhile?
