struts for lowered car

Putting on tien s-techs this month and am buying upgraded struts rather than the stockers with 60k on them.... i was looking at the HP blues (~$360) and the KYB-GR2's (~$225)

whats the main difference? what am i giving up by going with the cheaper struts? Neither of these are adjustable right?

clearly ive got no clue and am in need some advice....thanks

THe HP's have stiffer valving...the GR-2's are just barely better than stock
 
seems like most on here get the HPs...i dont auto-x or anything, so the lowering is 90% for looks and the rest for performance...you still think its worth the extra $100??

Well you have to also think about how your Protege is going to ride. The HP Blues are going to stiff, the performacne is going to be better, and the ride is going to very rugged but the GR2 is still is stiff but it's going to more smoother ride and less performance. I am also thinking about upgrading my suspention too and that's what I am worried about.

yeah, Ive thought about that...my friend has a 240sx with tiens and GR2s and the ride is kinda rough already, so yeah im definately worried about going too much stiffer, but if someone tells me that GR2s really suck, then ill go for the HP upgrade...
