Ordered my SU passenger mount and tranny mount kit from SU earlier this week and Fed Ex was to deliver it yesterday April 30. Waiting around inside the house all day and then checked out the Fed Ex tracking online and says delivered, left at front door. I never got a door knock and no one didn't even ring the door bell either, so I head to the door and nothing is at my front door.

I'm now like WTF????

Sent SU an email and a ticket thru there online site as well late last night. See there open today and decided to call them. Spoke with Mark and he's saying that someone stole them from me and I'm SOL since SU didn't insure the package. I'm like not thats not my problem, and he then says he'll have to check with the bosses on Monday to see if they can get me another set below cost. So now they want me to pay more money out of pocket for a product I never received. I never authorized no signature or no insurance either. Apparently per Mark, they do not insure anything under $750.

I've heard great things from them, for the most part about SU and I always seem to have the worst of luck. So what do I do, wait for there response Monday or just file a claim with my bank?????

End of rant, feel better that I've vented and shared my experience with you all. Can't afford to throw $300 just like that, this is some BS, it wasn't my fault!!!!

Heading out the door slightly fuming, but I'll try to have a good weekend!!!!

Any input all????

Thanks in advance!!!!

**** SU
they need to pay you mang!
what the hell?
i used to work at an online store shipping stuff, and when we sould things over 100 dollars we ALWAYS insured them
what would the insurance be..like ******* 2 dollars!!
SU are such low lifes mang

they need to pay you and pay you NOW!

screw that..
FedEx will only recognize 100 dollars but will only give you the money after they do an investigation...
it ain't your fault!

now, if the mounts were less than 100, you are cool :)
otherwise
**** SKREET UNIT!

I'd notify your bank/credit card first to dispute the charge. Also contact FedEx as they left the package without your signature. Ultimately it all depends on who assummed responsibility of the product when shipped. Would need to see a copy of the agreement for that.

Don't wait too long as its your $300 on the line and neither the vendor or shipper will give a rats ass until you make it an issue.

figured out if their policy is FOB shipping point or destination. this will determine how much liability they have

press the fact that they didnt insure the package.

make a claim with fedex

Alejo is right. **** su. Boostr is also right. File with fedex and bank. Threaten legal action to get your money back. The place I order from insures everything. No wonder they are banned here.

file a dispute with you bank... the company is required to prove you received the package with a signature... a drop at the front door will not suffice, i work for the dispute department at chase so trust me you will win

Thats the best news I've heard all day. Thanks!!!! (first)

Filed a dispute claim earlier with CitiBank. We'll see what happens.

SU aware of my iissue.

Fed Ex Claim filed.

Bank claim filed.

Now just need to be patient and wait.

Either reshipment of my order with the product or a refund and I'm not paying a single penny more out of pocket!!!!

Expensive mistake for them to be so cheap...Signature confirmation would have made everyone happy. Oh well. Good luck, and buy from someone else next time. Hope you get your money back.

I will make a prophecy
considering as you stated SU has a disclaimer on thier site relenquishing responsibilty after said product has left thier hands, and I 'am sure you checked a little box agreeing to these terms for the order to be processed which made this official......they will either be a nice guy or yes they will tell you that you are SOL....but lawfully and technically they are not obligated to do anything about it.

considering the fact that you yourself stated that fed-ex had the parcel marked as delivered status and there was no signature requirement they will also either be a nice guy about it or tell you that you are again SOL...they should atleast do an investigation, maybe it went to a similar but wrong address who knows?

considering the above and that no real fault can be determined towards SU or fed-ex, what is the bank supposed to do about it, you agreed to the sales terms from SU, fed-ex said they delivered the parcel....really depends upon the determination of the investigation by the shipper, for all you know somebody could of walked by your house and swiped the box...that would suck, but such is life you know...we all get screwed eventually.

I never stated any disclaimer, just stating that they have free shipping!!!!

I didn't order online, I ordered thru the phone so I didn't check any lil box or anything whatso ever.

I'm pretty sure that the bank will have my back as this is SU's mess!!!!

There official reply today in writing:

We are terribly sorry this has happened. I have called FedEx to place a tracer on the package, to see if it turns up on their end. Though it shows as scanned as delivered, there is nothing much else we can do.

I’ll let you know if they return my request, but most likely it’s gone and I would be asking neighbors if they saw anything suspicious.

Let me know if you need anything else.

FYI in Street Units FAQ:

My order never arrived.
Click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track your order status. Be sure that all of the items in your order have shipped already. If your order displays your Package Tracking Numbers, check with the shipper to confirm that your packages were delivered. If your packages each show a status of "delivered", please contact customer service for assistance.

Claim filed with Bank and Fed Ex as well and now I just need to wait things out.

Good deal. Hopefully it will all work out in the end, and you get your money back to spend elsewhere. And you make sure to request that it be shipped "signature required" next time.

^^U betcha.

Regardless of the vender, from now on, I'll always ask that they insure it and get a sig too!!!
