Oh how I love thee. Being behind a campus firewall means I don't have access to much music aside from streams, which I have been living off of recently. I lost about 10gigs of music when my mobo pulled a ladder 49 back in december and I've been trying to restore my collection ever since. Now I can leave the stream ripper on 24/7 and pull badass music off the net, I just dont' have much track choice.

Anyone else use stream rippers? The one I downloaded was really simple to setup(a few clicks).

lol... when I first saw rippers, I thought this was a totally different type of thread...

where'd you download your stream ripper ? there's a few instrumental tracks i'd like to rip

I use to have StreamRipper (old one) you could rip like 5 streams or more at once then the new version came out and they put a 2 limit on it :(
GAY I now have 3,000+ mp3's and over 300 cd's so I don't use it anymore
but its still cool

Matt, it rips streaming audio off the internet and downloads it for you on your computer, sort of like recording the radio onto a tape so you own it instead of waiting for the radio to replay it.

The one I have is called StationRipper
