Strange setup on used MSP?

all depends on the dealer. if they can prove that what you did caused a part to fail then u get nothing, but if your suspension, ECU etc. break the FMIC had nothing to do with it. Not all dealers are jackasses. Up here in Canada we have a few good dealers like Dave Wood Mazda that know more about the MSP's quirks than the majority of the members here.

it might be worth having the dealer return it to stock boost levels. hard to say how much damage could have been done already, and if something is about to go, let them have there hands on it last so they can pay the repair bill.

I was going to say swing by Madison and have TurfBurn check things out, but damn you're far away from everyone. I forgot how far Eau Claire was from everything. I used to live in Milwaukee.

I'd say go with what the fellow members are saying, have the dealer check it out, which they should have done to begin with before selling it to you.

Man, I would seriously just get a hold of a stock BPV and put it back inline with that red hose. I have a feeling your turbo is spinning way harder than it should be, and that's not a good thing.

As far as taking it to the dealer, I hope you've got a good one, cause most techs don't seem to even know what a Mazdaspeed Protege is(even at the supposed Mazdaspeed certified dealerships). Like Brianmp5t said, "That s*** needs to be looked at by a compitent person..."

I also have a stock BPV if you cant find one locally.
