Just wondering if any one knows why my car would do this. It's a 2010 Sport GT
The first time it did it the car was 2 weeks old, but had a broken trim piece on the bottom of the passenger seat, so I chalked it up to that. Then it just started doing it again the last couple of days. The problem is a rattling noise when you first get in the car. To hear it you can grab the left should of the passenger seat and shake it side to side (driver <-----> passenger direction) or simply take the car for a drive. It's a decent rattle, the radio on 13+ begins to cover it up. But here is the trick to it, after driving for 5 minutes or more (since the sound came back it) the noise goes away (before when the piece was broken the noise was constant). Also when you stop again and shake the seat it doesn't rattle any more.
So finally my question is, any ideas? Is it a system in the seat that takes a minute to engage or do you think the seat is loose? I would probably bet the 2nd one if someone actually sat in the passenger seat frequently.
