Just got a brand new ms3 and im hearing a strange vibrating/grinding noise coming from the front driver side up near the wheel when im driving. Its not a really consistant noise but it is mainly noticable when im driving on a wet road. Im thinking it might have something to do with the brakes because when I hit the brakes the noise goes away then comes back when I let off brakes. Any suggestions? Im taking it to the dealership first thing monday and hopefully they can figure it out.

Alot of people including me experienced sort of a moaning sound coming from the front brakes when the car was new. It was normally at low speeds for me and would go away when I tapped the brake. It went away before I hit 1000 miles. I would say it's part of the break in on this car.

well i just took the car to the dealer and took one of the mechanics for a ride to hear the sound and they said it is probably something in the breaks that is rusted up from it sitting in the lot for so long without being driven. so i ended up leaving the car with them and they gave me a rental untill tomorrow which is when they said the car should be fixed.

just picked it up earlier today and the sound is now competely gone. they said that they machined the brakes and changed the brake pads. thank god for warranty!

WTF, a brand new car with what, a couple hundred miles? ...and you've already got turned rotors!? Man, I'd a made em put some new ones on my new car. Thats kinda bad I think.

I had this issue before as well. I got new pads and new rotors. Something about the rotors being a hair too thick, so it made the pads stick onto the rotor, thus causing the moaning "whoooo" sound (brakes rubbing slightly).
