stolen coils

yup that is right i have an 86 rx7 and left in over a friend house. I went to pick it up suprise my coils are gone. I have herd that you can use other coil set up. has anyone done this and where i can find the parts would really help.

sorry, i never noticed this thread. i have a couple extra coil packs that i will have up for sale as soon as i test them. i will pm you when i get them.

If you were closer you could swing by the shop here and look through the pile of used coils we have in a bin to get some.

Somone stole the coils? Like, just ripped open the hood, unbolted them and took off? Weird, I don't think there's any precious metals in there or anything so must have been another RX-7 owner REALLY in need. I'm just curious if I should be nervous parking my RX-7 outside.

I don't know why but FC's seem to draw some really sketchy people...

yeah my friend said that he locked the car up. but when i went to pick it up it was unlocked. And that was the only thing missing aftermarket stereo momo steering wheel nothing was touch. I say it had to be another person with an Rx-7.

hey does any one know if you can you gm coils with out doing a stand alone?

I have heard of people doing it, but I wouldn't know how that would work.

yeah I can see if you had a standalone but with a stock ecu I don't see it. Thier was a person on here awhile back that said he did. I tried to look for the thread but no luck.
