Stock vs. Tein

:
2005 Premium White Pearl RSX Type-S
Anyone have a pic of a MSP with stock suspension beside a MSP with the Tein's on them? I'm really interested in getting these springs but just want to see a comparison pic. Any pics of just one MSP with a set on them are wlecome to. Everyone says to buy them from **********.com for $175 but apexr1.com has them for $165, is this website ok to order from, anyone had any problems with them?

Here you go...the rear drop is virtually not existant...maybe 1cm difference tops.

Apexr1.com are great guys to deal with...I got my Injen from them, no hassles!

First one is stock, second is Tein S-tech.

I was thinking of springs but went with the Tein-SS Kit. They are alot more expensive, but Holy s***. The car is like a Go-Cart on corners. Well worth the money and it's the same time to install as the Springs.

That would let you set the car to whatever height you want as well as give you control on dampener stiffness.

I just put on my Teins, tucks the front very nice and the rear lowers just a bit. I still think it looks great. When I rarely have passengers in the back, the rears will rub on hard turns or hard bumps....dependging on where the person is sitting. It is nothing major. I got mine for $155 shipped from Kuruma Motoring.

See attached photos (both after drop...sorry no before-drop pictures).

Be ready for a stiffer ride.

I wanted to get Tein's as well.
I just saw Brennan's car on Tuesday night, he is lowered on Tein's.
The front is spectacular, the rear drop is non-existant.
It looks good, but you really have to like the raked forward look.
Now, I have decided to search for the H&R's. 1.3 drop all around, it should be more balanced IMO.

i just bought tein s-tech's for my msp. was wondering if you could just install the front, since there is very little drop in the rear? or is that bad for the car or springs? also if anybody can help with directions on the install?

Theres not really a problem with just installing the front, rides pretty smooth. The rear Tein's dont do much.... they BARELY lower ur car.. look at my sig.

so it wont hurt anything? i just dont want the rear to rub with passengers in the back seat. what about winter tires? the front wont rub with the teins? i had problems with the rear rubbing with winter tires last year.really ony on turns or big dips in the road>just wondering

When installing, remove the bolts that hold on the Racing Beat stabilizer bars FIRST. If you remove everything else first, it can put stress on the bolt holding the stabilizer and it will be harder to remove the bolt. (The bolt is attached to the stabilizer so you can't just tap it out). You will see what I mean. Actually, first you should remove the hoses that are clipped to the strut. Also, in the rear pass. side ( I think) you will have to take of the caliper / brake pad assembly becuase the two main bolts (on the bottom of the strut) will not have enough room to slide out. They run into the caliper assy. When you put them back in (after changing springs out), put them back in reverse so you don't have this problem later. Hope that made sense. If you are not changing the rear springs you shouldn't run into this prob. When you try to knock out the bolt you will see what I mean.

BTW my rear has settled....I can notice the drop in the back with the Teins. I have no idea what I am going to do in the winter, small winter tires I guess.
