Stock Tires at good price - anyone?

Does anyone know which website has our stock Potenza tires at a good price? I'm at 21000 miles and 2 of my tires are bald. So far I've found tirerack.com to be the cheapest at $166 per tire. Does anyone know anywhere cheaper? Thanks.

Just a question. Why would you want to put stock rubber back on your car? There are plenty of better tires out there that the stockers? Something to think about.

That would be a could choice in my opinion...check out tirerack.
That's what I'm putting on my baby once the potenzas are gone!

And get 4 new tires, not 2!!!
You're not driving a family sedan you know, handling is everything!

Stock tires are WAY better than the Goodyears. I have both tires. The goodyears are like wet noodles, jello compared to the razor sharp Re040's. The stock tires are not as good in the rain or as quiet but for handling, they are top notch. There is a reason why these tires come with cars like the NSX and 350Z track model.

my suggestions: 215 45 17
Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico($120 each)

Kumho Ecsta MX ($117 each)

Well here's the story. A few months ago I picked up a nail in one of my tires so I went to the dealer to find out if they could just take it out for me. The dealer said because the nail was in the side of the tire (as opposed to being in the part that actually comes in contact with the ground) they wouldn't be able to patch it. So I bought a brand new tire from them (the same Potenza RE040) and had them mount it. When they took the car back to give me I checked my trunk and my old tire wasn't in there. I asked the service manager for my old tire and he told me to drive around the back where the technicians are and get it from them. Lo and behold the tech said when he took the tire off and took out the nail he realised it didn't actually pierce the tire so there was no puncture. Of course this made me pissed as hell because I had already paid for the new tire and they didn't even let me know that the tire was still good (and at that time there was plenty rubber left on it)...worse they didn't plan on giving me back the tire. So I took the old tire from them, took my car someplace else and had them remount the old tire. So because of that I have had one brand new tire sitting in my garage for a while (and the damn dealer charged be $196 for the tire). So now to avoid having different tread tires on the car I'm just going to buy the same stock tires. And I plan on buying 3 by the way (since I already have one). If the situation were different I'd probably get a good set of Michelins (just because of Formula 1 reasons).

Damaga - where can I get them at $137 each?

I know those surveys are not everything but for the Goodyear Eagle, the feedback comes from 500 people and 300 for the potenzas...
The Eagles are extremely well rated everywhere.

Hope this posts comes up right...

137$ on Tirerack for the Goodyears...

And I'm shocked at the fact that they kept the tire and didn't tell you anything!
Couldn't they refund you?

Hey I have (4) stock tires with like 600 miles on them. I'll sell you three of them. I bought my car in October. I got scared the first time it snowed and didn't want to have steelies on for four months out of the year. So, I bought some all seasons and put them on the stock rims. I'll sell them to you for $65 each or $230 for all four plus shipping.

I bought those and they, like Tony say's, ARE GREAT!

I did a little review on them :)
I got them for 145.50 apiece, mounted and balanced.

I track both my mazdaspeed and my Integra Type R. I have used potenza re010's, re040's and the Goodyears. The Goodyears dont even compare to the potenza series tires in response and turn in. They have a horrible on center feel. To each their own.

Ive done back to back mounting and testing between re040's and goodyears and the goodyears inspired hardly any confidence compared to the 040's.

My advice,,,, find out for yourself. I could care less what the "average" consumer on TireRack says.

Spoken like a true Crackhead. The RE040 isn't even in the same league as the F1 GS-D3!
Let me guess you are just so far above the "average" consumer. Well then, how about a full blown review with pro drivers on the track under varying conditions? This good enough you for Mr. Non Average?

And remember don't any of you "average" comsumers dare attempt to rail against his lofty claims. He knows all. With his above average powers he can turn non-truth into TRUTH! Beware....Beewaarrre!!!
You is just so scary. Not in a Jason vs Freddy way but in a mentally challenged adult wearing a diaper way.

Tires are like anything else that is mass produced; there are bound to be a few screwed up ones!

I along with Yashooa have some good ones. I agree with him that there is no comparison to the stock rubber.

I will definitely buy them again. I got $75 bucks back from Goodyear to boot. Its a worthy tire for the MSP.

PS...I hated the Bridgestones from day one.
