Stock speaker location question.....

Great site, this is the first post for me although I've responded to a few. Lots of good info! My question is this, on a 2002 DX Protege the rear doors seem to have the holes cut out for speakers even though they don't come with any. Does anyone know what size might fit in there with little modification? I'd like to install a decent component set in my front doors and add extra mid-bass speakers in the rear doors. I probably won't use the 6x9's in the rear deck as I'd like to keep all mids and highs beside or in front of the passengers, and yes, I plan on adding a single 10" or 12" sub in the trunk. The rear door panels even have speaker grills made into the door panels over the empty holes. Thanks in advance for your help.

search in car audio for posts made by SirNuke and the word speaker. He has made some good notes on the dimensional specs of the speaker wells. =)

6", same as the P5, 6 1/2 will fit.

YEAH!! WHAT HE SAID....and as for the depth...don't worry about it in the rear doors....there is about 4 1/2" of depth for mounting....NO PROBLEM

Or just have the Nukester to make a housecall and he'll tell you. Hah. Damn Nuke.
