its a Kenwood radio, z828 or z919.

they have a port in the back which you can buy an adapter for that has a pair of RCA plugs.

The Z828 already has the RCA input plugs, they are the AUX source option.

i bought a semi used z828 from mp3 owner on here and it did not have the RCA's, just the empty plug on the back for the kenwood adapter....hmmm

The Mazda Protege MP3 came with one of two head units. A Kenwood Z919 or a Kenwood Z828.

The Z919 had 3 set of RCA Pre-OUTS!! THere was no RCA input and it did not have the standard Kenwood CD changer plug in. This unit was a one time run of a Japanese head unit. It has a set of bussing terminals and not the standard din plug that most kenwood use to connect CD changer or aux input adapters. I am not sure if an aux input adapter even exists but it is possible.

The Z828 came with direct RCA audio input (I believe). Either way adapter do exist to utalize this unts CD changer bus as an aux input. CA-C1AUX

IF you have the Z828, then crutchfield or any car audio store that sells kenwood should either have them or be able to get them. Be aware that most people at a best by or similar box mover are not going to have a clue what your talking about.
