Stock exhaust size

I'm looking at getting just a set of magnaflow universal mufflers. I know the CBE would be better but unfortunately I don't have $500+ to throw down right now.

Question is, what is the stock exhaust pipe size?

Thanks.

After the rear Y-split it's actually 2" ... but I used Magnaflow part # 11225 which is 2.25" no problem. Get the shop to use new flanges so you can go back to stock easily on your own.

Thank you both. And special thanks for the part number. You wouldn't happen to have clips of yours would you? What else do you have done.

You know you can get a Magnaflow catback for a little over $400? I just got mine and installed it, 2.5" all the way back.

CVR Motorsports. They are in NY, have it drop-shipped directly from Magnaflow in CA (took five days). Mine was actually $415 total. I have it installed and love it, to the point that I have been driving for the past two days with the stereo off so I can hear it. Just need to find some oval tips that I can have welded on (per my tip thread).

Really!! Any idea where in NY? I checked out their website briefly but can't find it.

Cheapest I found online was 455 shipped. Although I can get the cans alone for less than $100 total and I figure 100-150 for setup. I'd just be replacing the stock mufflers with the magnaflows.

They don't stock the exhaust, so you wouldn't be able to go by and pick it up.

Go on their site (www.cvrmotorsports.com) and open the Mazdaspeed6 tab. Click on exhaust and it should bring up the Magnaflow. Just so you know, their pages are set up weird and you have to scroll down to see the products. There isn't a price listed, you have to contact them and ask for it. They will then send you a link to a page which has the price. Trust me, it will be cheaper than what you found. As long as you can afford the extra money, you will be better off getting a catback instead of just replacing the mufflers.

You sir are my hero!! LOL, I contacted them yesterday, they responded in about 30 minutes with a price of $395, shipping would be $20. Best price on the web and well worth it, that'll be the route I'm taking. Thanks again.

Now, that's a BARGAIN!!!

No problem, I got the info from someone and am happy to pass it along. You will love the sound, I have had mine on for around five days and I am still driving with the radio low or off so I can hear it. We won't talk about how much I bury my right foot!
