Still wating for my 3

ITs been a week since i signed my papers for my new 3s, they had to do a locate for it, they keep telling me anyday now, has this been a problem for anyone else (dunno) (band2)

ya the Mazda dealer here in Windsor Ontario did the same thing, and when they did get my car in the ordered the wrong one


i got the one i have now like 4 days later

but keep calling them and ask to talk to the manager and complain sayin u have no car and that u were expecting to wait a couple days max

make them give u free oil changes or something stupid like that

Well they did let me borrow a 3s 5-door,, i guess i cant complain too much

Yeah, I orderd mine on Jan 29th. Still haven't gotten it. And they say it may or may not be in by the 15th of May.

Waiting for the Mz3 after signing for at least 3 to 6 weeks is the norm in every where around the world. I have waited for 3 weeks for my Tit. Grey. My stock is actually the first lot of production in Japan but delivery to HK in end of Feb. I heard from my source saying that the bottlenecks are on the shipping side and the materials. As there is a substantial shortage on vessels, all the manufacutrers (not just auto industry) are looking for ships to ship their products to other countries and the freight rates have been increased by more than 200% since 2003. The point is this situation not just happening on transportation but on the raw material costs, such as steel, copper, aluminium, etc. Steel prices have increased substantially recently. As a result, we have to wait for our Mz3 for such a long period of time as the demand for Mz3 is totally out of expectation and they have difficulties in finding ships to transport, unless they need to pay an extra high price on the transportation cost, which I think they don't. Since the steel price and transportation cost is going up dramatically, I have increased the price by 7% in early April, and I heard from my source saying that they might increase the price for at another 10% in the coming 1 to 2 months.........So, if you don't want to pay a higher price in the future, you better to buy now but you have to wait for at least 6 weeks for delivery.......or, choose other models that have stocks on hand.............

Yep, joeblack is right on.

Both shipping costs and raw materials costs have gone up. Also, the Mazda3 factory (Hofu 1) has been working holiday days (i.e. Sat & real holiday days) since late 2003 because of the demand for this vehicle.

I understand and appreciate all that, but it doesn't make me feel any better when I see the mazda3 commercials on tv. I know I have to wait, but like they say, "waiting is the hardest part".

The car's arrival will be here before I know it. I've waited 2 and 1/2 months, I can wait one more.

DEPENDING UPON WHEN YOU ORDERED YOURS, IS PROBABLY THE PROBLEM. I ORDERED MINE ON JAN.29th,2004 AND JUST RECEIVED IT THIS
TUES.APRIL 6th,2004 THE REASON WHY IT TOOK MINE SO LONG WAS THAT,
THE NEXT PRODUCTION RUN DIDN'T START UNTIL MARCH 1st SO MY CAR WASN'T GOING TO EVEN BE BUILT UNTIL AFTER MARCH 1st, THE PRODUCTION DATE ON MY CAR I JUST GOT, IS MARCH 3rd,2004 BUILD DATE, SO I KNOW
THIS TO BE TRUE, I ALSO WORK FOR THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM. I'VE
BEEN WITH MAZDA FOR OVER 14 YEARS. THE CASE WAS THE SAME IN 2000,
WHEN I BOUGHT MY 2000 PROTEGE 1.8L ES,M/T. OH! BY THE WAY I BOUGHT THE MAZDA 3s ,5DR., 2.3L, M/T, TITANIUM GREY,SUNROOF/6 DISC,LEATHER,(SANS)THE ABS/SAC/XENON, AND NAVIGATION....HOPE YOURS COMES SOON, I LOVE THIS CAR....LOOKS SO COOL AT DUSK....!!!! Yeah I ordered it on Jan 29th 2004, so if what you say is true, then hopefully it will be here soon.

Man, those look sweet. are they tri-colored or is that just the way the it seems in the photo? also, were they part of a package, ie, are they stock?

well i took dat pic from turkish mazda website so i believe its a stock pic..go ahead take a look urself, don't worry its easy to navigate coz of flash pics makes it self explanatory..

btw the price of mzd3 is 35 billion turkish lira u may see alot of zeros but its same price as canada

The headlight pic above is the Mazda3 HID (which is available in the US but not Canada). But that pic is photochopped and is FAR more blue than the real Mazda3 HID's. Mazda's HID's are white.
