sticky substance on paint

Hi,
I just recently noticed some sticky type substance on roof of my car,and little bit on rear end..Not sure what it is,almost seems like some adhesive type stuff.. I tried using some quick detailing stuff that u use in between waxing as it was only thing i had on me. What could I use to remove this stuff without messing the paint up??
I thought or think its just the adhesive they used for the paper they put on the vehicles when transporting, but not totally positive. I scrubed it some and seems to remove a little, but theres just gotta be something that makes it easier to remove...
There is also some stuff on roof thats transparent sticky stuff, which Im assuming is glue. I thought i heard something hit my car in the moring as I was taking off from my apartments, but didnt think anything of it.??

Everyone says that meguiar's clay does the trick

i would try one of the many brands of bug/pitch/tar remover.. or a bottle of goo-gone.. i am not 100% sure the goo gone is safe for a car exterior but i would think it would be fine... you can pick up the goo-gone at a walmart or hardware store i don't think an autoparts store would have it...

bring it back to the dealer and have them properly take care of it... mazda has issued service bulletins about this and they have a special remover for that s***... better to have them do it than potentially ******* the s*** up on your own and not having it covered later

when i took off the stupid dealer badges they put on the back of the car, i used goo gone to get rid of the the sticky residue and it worked perfectly

Try goo gone. I would certainly do that before taking my car into the dealer and having them do the same thing and charging me out the ass for it.

why do you think the dealer will charge him? THINK! he just bought the car, it has this s*** that should've been taken cared of during PDI... there's a TSB on it that instructs how to take car of it... it's the dealer's problem!

sticky stuff

Ya, we had a storm here, couple days ago. Had a bunch of sticky substance all over car..Clear liquid stuff, almost like liquid adhesive glue? Im guessing its tree sap,but not sure...Its been way to hot to try to clean it off.
I bought some bug/tar stuff, but again its been way too hot to clean it off. Where does one get goo-gone stuff? went to wallie world, and not sure what section it in.
Car goes in next week for enviromental protection and my 6disc/ipod stereo..WIth my work schedule wont have time to clean it off. So,guess have them mess with it. Guess im little hesitant bout spraying that bug/tar stuff on car,as im afraid it will screw it up. sure it wont, but as I have some serious bad luck with cars, probably will..
