I was doing oil change 3 days ago and noticed a thin greasy/oily residue on driver side suspension A arm and top of axle dust boot, cleaned it off good and knew I was going to change tranny fluid today and check it. Today I found more of the same(some of it oily some of it more solid like grease), it is dribbling down the outside of tranny and a couple other places underneath the battery. I know the driver side MM doesn't have any gel filling,
Jason from Mazda parts Online confirmed and ask a Tech and they think it might be a hose in the PVC system cracked letting ooze out. Has anyone here experienced similar issue, and have an idea what to look for before I start taking parts out? The car is running fine, no coeds, oil is not down on dip stick.

On topic, I can't think of any grease-like substance that would come from the area you describe. Clutch fluid would be thinner.
