STi VS. EVO

ok i know that there is alllllllot of oppinions on this but i want to see what you guys/ gals think.
i personaly perfer the STi becouse it has DriverControledCenterDiff. witch means you can put more power to the back wheels insead of the front. Also the STi has 3 diff. compared to the EVO's 2. Also the STi has a 2.5L insead of a 2.0l. and the STi has valve timeing witch means almost no turbo lag . and the STi is more "Mod" friendsly becouse i dought the EVO engine can hold to mutch more boost then the STOCK BOOST OF 19PSI, im just wondering how dumb can you be to put 19 psi into a stock engine without blowing it up, but they are the designers and i supose they know what they are doing. and do you guys even know of 1/2 the problems that the 4G63(i think thats the code)engine has. Just look at all the problems the TSI talons have and GSX and they are ALL the same engine. Plus the STi is more of a daily driver car then the EVO becouse it has a little softer suspention. and in the EVO if you try to shift fast into every gear you will grind all the gears but its a MITSU. thing, just like gringding in all Hondas when you go from 2nd to 3rd
and last but not least my last car was a subaru and i just cant say not to a subaru espetialy the STi

For me, if we ONLY consider the cars "AS THEY ARE" without thinking about tunability, power increase possibilities, etc. Then I'll have to rely on an expert's judgemente and Mr. Millen (famous PRO Rally driver) in the last Car & Driver took the 2 cars through an off-road test, and simply the EVO was like 2 secs faster...

Visually a like 'em both, but the EVO fits a lil better my taste... though I hate that hideous triangle with the mitsu logo in the center of the grille.

Damn man, I think this poll man end up being 50% 50%. I'm not a racer like I used to be so, I'm more reserved and relaxed now. So, I say the STi, more daily drivable and more usable torque. Don't get me wrong because once the EVO spools, it takes off. But it doesn't have toque down low like the STi.

In all the magazines that I have read the EVO does not have the fastest 1/4 mile time, of the 2. But each magazine said that they would take the EVO over the STI.

I'd go R32 for the refinement and luxury...did you see thouse seats!!!
I'm getting old. I know. 240 hp is plenty for me in a car that small; I barely ever see what the mp3 can do, I can't imagine driving a car as fast as any of those.

I would go with the STi, bc first of all, mitsu hasnt been known for quality cars, and the wrx is a great car. And also more power...

but that wing, AHHH i cant stand it!

A good alternitive unless you live in snow country like me.

Up north; a WRX would be a perfect choice. I remember when Volvo and SAAB were the only 'Front' drive options, and were the ideal choice for those conditions. The Audi introduced the Quattro, and lots of things began happening. Those early ('70s) Subaru's, I remember, had lots of problems. Lots of good options now, however; at many price points!
