(still rather have a 350Z Track Edition for that money)
dont think that a 350 could even keep up w/ one of those cars on a track(my opinion). but if u put a little booooooost into it... the STi and the EVO whould be history.
and yeah i whould take a 350Z TE over an EVO anyday...exept a snow day:p

Heathen23 : HA HA!

It's funny because I am actually the type of person that knows what I want right away. My woman however can't decide what pair of socks to buy without taking 2 hours to do it and it drives me nuts. The hole thing with the speed and me making up my mind was rare, and she rubs it in over and over because I'm always making fun of her for being indecisive.

And

As for the STI VS EVO, I'd probably take the sti. Styling, power, better interior, just a better every day car, and the fact that there is NO mitsu dealership on the my island doesn't help the EVO. And the fact that it is a mitsu scares me as well....reliability?

Sti here, acctually might be buying one in the upcomming weeks (got a AWESOME deal) after driving both Sti seems more user friendly, love the ccd, Interior is better (imo) i like having no radio just makes it easier for me to add my own! As for performance, I dont street race every other day so i dont need an EVO but s*** the Sti is just as if not even stronger than the evo in certain areas....

the R32, i woulden't buy personally because one its not a 4-door, i need a 4-door makes my life so much eaiser, 2. the price is problably gonna be touching over 30k for that interior... and last it aint a true rally car :) not that im a true rally racer but still i love the 4 bangers! 0-60 in 7.6 (they said one guy got a 6.5) good brakes but not my cup of tea, but it sure looks nice though!

the dccd in the sti can only transfer 10% of the torque either way, no?

like 40% front 60% rear is the closest to rwd you can get it

Well in terms of quality and driveabilty... I would definetely go STi... it has the torque down low for bumper to bumper traffic, and you have the DCCD... But who would agree with me that the EVO kills the STi in terms of styling? No offence to STi's, but I think they're pretty damn ugly... Respectable... but ugly... Overall I think the EVO just looks nicer... Wish we had em up here in Canada...

What about RX-8 vs. 350z??? I think in that case I would go RX-8... I need the 4 seats and I love the rotary. I think the 350z looks better tho... and it kills the RX8 in terms of straightline performance... which kinda matters on city streets... I'm sure you could turbo the rotary without any fuss... I'm thinkin about 276hp would be perfect for the RX8... Is that a realistic number, keeping it streetable???

chyeah, evo mr is hardcore.

my friend is obsessed with the evo rs. the one thats only like 88lbs lighter than regular

"To achieve a curb weight lower than the already-lean Lancer Evolution, the Lancer Evolution RS sheds several non-essential items. Most notable from outside, the RS is not bedecked with the Lancer Evolution's distinctive rear wing spoiler. The high-intensity discharge headlights also were deleted, as was the rear window wiper. Inside, RS drivers must make do without an air conditioning system or an AM/FM/CD audio system. There are no power mechanisms for the windows, locks, or side mirrors. Trunk compartment trim has been removed, as have vanity mirrors, rear assist grips, map lamps, and the parking brake lever's leather covering. An antilock brake system is not available"

regular evo is 3263lbs
the weight savings from that stuff is 88-146lbs depending on whether you get the optional a/c and power windows.

that is definitely not worth it to me, but the mr is more reasonable, with its aluminum body panels and stuff

the mirrors, rear-grips, map lights, and parking brake covering are going a bit overboard

its the little stuff that makes stuff special. i'd love to have that car and turn it into a track car

cant turbo the renesis.....

^ dude
is the kit out yet? have u seen the dyno sheets???

no.

u know why? cause noone can break the damn ECU tables.

i've spoken to one of the main guys from Vortec engeneering.
to this day, noone has a turboed renesis that runs right.

renesis' computer runs 3 different programs for 3 different intake cams.
u can torbo it and program it to work with one of the cams, but u will either get bad low end, or bad top end depending on the size of the cam used.

lol... sounds like DocSound knows his stuff... That really blows tho... Can u even hit anything like 276hp NA? Well... within a reasonable amount of $$$ spent that is...

it can still be turbocharged.

the renesis isnt the problem, the computer is the problem.
im sure theyll figure it out....

ok i know that there is alllllllot of oppinions on this but i want to see what you guys/ gals think.
i personaly perfer the STi becouse it has DriverControledCenterDiff. witch means you can put more power to the back wheels insead of the front. Also the STi has 3 diff. compared to the EVO's 2. Also the STi has a 2.5L insead of a 2.0l. and the STi has valve timeing witch means almost no turbo lag:p . and the STi is more "Mod" friendsly becouse i dought the EVO engine can hold to mutch more boost then the STOCK BOOST OF 19PSI, im just wondering how dumb can you be to put 19 psi into a stock engine:rolleyes: without blowing it up, but they are the designers and i supose they know what they are doing. and do you guys even know of 1/2 the problems that the 4G63(i think thats the code)engine has. Just look at all the problems the TSI talons have and GSX and they are ALL the same engine. Plus the STi is more of a daily driver car then the EVO becouse it has a little softer suspention. and in the EVO if you try to shift fast into every gear you will grind all the gears but its a MITSU. thing, just like gringding in all Hondas when you go from 2nd to 3rd
and last but not least my last car was a subaru and i just cant say not to a subaru espetialy the STi:p
Your incredibly ignorant. The 4g63 is one of the strongest stock powerplants EVER created and the no the EVo does NOT have the same build as the old talon's or mitsubishi's. It boosts 11-12 psi @ redline NOT 19 psi and it maintained 2.0 Liter since these are mimicking RALLY CARS which have a limit of 2.0 Liter. Besides the Mitsubishi handles, steers, brakes better than the STi and when the Evolution MR comes out it will do that ever better PLUS be WAY faster than the STi

why even bother if the car is gonna run like s***.
Haltech and AEM are not advanced enough to run 3 programs at once and switch between them on-the-fly.

people have been cracking their heads trying to figure out the stock ECU ever since the first day RX-8 came out........and not people like u and me, but big companies like HKS, Vortec, and such.....
