This would be interesting. I am all ears.
(Also, do you have a 4G63DET in your Protege?)
No I dont have a 4g in my msp. I have thought about it tho... $$ is the concern at this stage haha..

Um, I don't know where you're getting your prices but that sucks. You can get the front calipers from onlinemazdaparts for under $200/caliper ($190 to be exact). The whole kit would cost just around $700 depending on what type of rotors and brake pads you went with. Even so, might cost the same but the MS6 calipers and rotors will bolt right up with no problems whatsoever.Your definetly not going to get ms6 calipers, rotors and pads brand new for under 700. The calipers alone are 500 i was talkin to a vendor about this 2 nights ago
Any pictures of those Cobra Brakes installed in an MSP ?
The only downsides I can think of for the MS6 breaks is that they still are only single piston and perhaps they're being designed for an AWD might have an advaerse effect on braking?
You can't use the MS6 rear brakes the last time a checked. At least, not without severe modification. I'm still debating what I want to do. The cheapest route would be MS6 fronts and MSP rears and should provide a decent performance increase. Of course, for more (a lot) money I could just upgrade to a StopTech front BBK or something. The other option is to run a BBK meant for the MS6 - they have a Brembo kitit shouldn't if your running the msp proportioning valve though, right?
lol, trying to think of the downsides to the speed6 front/rear brakes...its on my list....
lol, I'm planning quite significant modification to the rear end, so we shall see how it goes =P
