Stereo Upgrade

I'm doing an upgrade on the Audio but want to know about the deck. The layout of the panel makes it look as if the stereo was made custom for Mazda... is this true? Also, if it isn't custom, Can you get a new panel somewhere? I'm not too fond of the idea of cutting up a new car.

I also want to know if anyone else has upgrade their audio but have kept the factory deck... any problems? How does it sound? what are you using? blahblah

Check on Mazda6Club fora - some people have installed additional decks in the glovebox or the dash bin bove the dash. However, there is no way (short of expensive 100% custom work) to replace the in-dash audio system yet.

If you take the initiative and figure out how - share it with everyone here and the other boards.

there are a few sets of outputs for external amps on the factory deck. i want to say 2 sets..but may be 3

so diffrent amps change speakers add subs.. have a decent system. just use the cd as a signal.
