Okay, so maybe I dont live in the nicest part of the world, but damnit.... This is the second time I've had my stereo stolen. It happend in 2 different places and 18 months passed after it got stolen the first time. I'm about to take off all my MP3 badges and tint the windows and install an alarm system (yea, I know its way late, but I've been strapped for cash until recently).

I know they were only after the head because I had left almost 100.00 in the center console wich was my temporary piggy bank... yea, I know dumb spot.

Plus since I had just spent the weekend with friends I had half my DVD collection in the trunk. None were missing... maybe I have bad taste in movies.

Anyways.

I really want to use all the components currently installed in my car... the Kenwood sub, and speakers.

I've been looking at some of the other Kenwood MP3/CD head units and havent really been impressed. I dont want to spend more than 250.00 on it, but I do want it to be just as good as the old z828 and z929 i had in there in the begining.

Must have:
-----------
MP3 playback
Wireless Remote
Aux input
Detachable face (I'll even use this feature this time.)
Support for allready installed speakers and sub.

I got my Pioneer DEHP7600MP at www.thezeb.com for only $199 and am VERY impressed with the features and sound quality. Thezeb was fast at shipping and the price for the head unit was the cheapest on the internet new. I like the display on it. It looks more expensive than what it really costs! :D

Get the alarm and Head Unit together. Call Josh at Sound Advice of Mission Viejo at 949-364-6464. Try to get a package deal. Tell him Rudy sent you and to hook you up.

I wouldn't have a Sony if my life depended on it. They make awsome home units, but not car! Look at Aiwa which is the same thing as Sony on crutchfield. Stick with a reputable brand. I used to work in car audio, and we didn't sell many Sonys, but the ones we sold were always coming back defective. 1sty even can vouch for that since he works for a chain that sells various units including Sony.
