Stereo Problem! HU!!!!!

I was wondering if anyone else had a problem with the head unit (HU). I just got in my car and turned it on, went to change tracks on my cd and bam it happened. The whole thing went black. I have tried just about everything to get it back on. It was playin music for awhile while everything went black, but then, it just went all out. Now it is stuck at half mast if u will, so u can remove the face. I took it out and then it went back in. WTF is up with this? Anyone, someone, ANYONE.....HELP!

Your in the wrong section!

But this is very common, hitting eject may bring it around, if not hit the reset button or disconnect the battery.
Get used to it, it will happen again. When it does, please post it in the audio section :D

same thing happened to me when i when i went across some train tracks swithing a cd....stick a pen in the master reset, its a little black circle lookin thing....you have to reprogram everything but they are just going to do the same thing if you take it to the dealer....i havent had a problem with it since then

Just reprogram your speaker settings if you need to, then call your dealership and have them reorder a new one. Don't set the preset memory, I'm sure itll happen again...

why would you bother buying a new one? thats just rediculas... its not just a single head unit that does it, bunches are doing.. why waste the time on waiting for a new one to come.. just reset it.. it doesnt happen to often.. mine has done it twice in like, 2 months... no biggy...

I'm sorry, but getting my settings back to the way I like them takes a good bit of time. I guess I am more of an audiophile though...it took me a good 20 minutes to get mine the way I wanted it, or at least where it was reasonable.
