steering wheel sizes?

anyone know what size, in mm, the stock protege5 steering wheels are? also, im looking around at some aftermarket ones, and theres so many different sizes. is there any kind of difference with them?

Unless you plan on making your car track-only, I don not suggest an aftermarket wheel. Im close to positive that it is illegal to remove the stock steering wheel if it comes stock with an airbag, unless you plan on replacing it with one that comes with an airbag. Also most insurance companies will drop you from insurance if they find out you have removed the stock airbag. Plus the air bag could be a lifesaver at some point, ya never know.

If you do plan on tracking it, then good luck in your search, sorry but I dont know much about the specs of aftermarket wheels.

If the car is '01 to '03, I believe the steering wheel diameter is 360mm. That said, I agree with the other post. Not worth it to run without the airbag; between cops and wrecks, there's just too much to lose.
