Starting Electrical? Problems?

Apperantly I had a kill switch, which I had no Idea I had. which was bad, and was just turning on and off on it's own.
removed.

also according to the garage, my alternator and battery where no good, Lies!

Yep. Seen those go bad very quickly. They are not able to handle the amperage going through it. I tried one when I had a car with a hydraulic suspension setup to tuen on/off the charger system and it continually blew. Had to use a locomotive (train) switch that was capable of handling 3,000 amps at 240 volts.

hey, im having a similar problem, my car has been sittingm=, and the past few times its been started it was jumped. now when i try to jump it i get the cables all hooked up, get in the car, turn the key to on and then blah, everything goes until i let off and the key goes back. i dont know whats wrong and i have to be able to drrive the car in 10 days, anyone have any suggestions.

If you have to jump it everytime and it runs and stsrts fine when you do then its your battery. If it cuts off and dies right after you unhook the cables then id say alternator. And merry christmas btw

I got the car running, got a new battery, put it in neutral, drop the ebrake, turned the key. Away we go!

(now all i gotta do is get my license...)

I just need to wait 4 days, then i go for my G2, right now i only have my G1.

Damn... Everyone seems to be having starting problems. Mine just died the other day. Drove to pick up some milk, and it wouldn't start when I went to leave. Wouldn't start, wouldn't jump, but me and a buddy push started and it worked fine.
