Star Wars Force Unleashed.....worst one ever!!!

Since everyone is talking about games. Anyone have recommendations for a good PC game?

My new class is boring as hell.

Titan Quest. 20 bucks on direct2drive for the bundle with expansion pack. Top down, rpg, Diablo like action

What? Fifteen posts and still no mention of KOTOR?

Sigh...
i'll have to agree that KOTOR was pretty bad ass. the targeting on that was 10 times better than the targeting on this in my opinion....maybe that would have to do with the fact it was turn based and could pause during a fight to target another enemy.....still better.

Nobody played X-Wing, Tie Fighter or X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter?

I think TF was the best out of that bunch, although I had a lot of fun online with XvT. It was my second online multiplayer game that I was really serious about, right after Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries. Ahhhhhh, fond memories.

I played Tie fighter and the demo of X-Wing VS. Tie fighter, but those are made before those really cool 3D graphics cards were available.
Rogue Squadron was the first one that really looks good with full 3D graphics.

Dude, good call.

SPORE FTMFW except for the crashing issues! Hopefully that will have a fix for that. They might have because i havent played it in the past week much.

I'm avoiding spore due to the Draconian DRM setup EA decided to stick on that thing. 3 installs (4 if you call EA and they decide to grant it to you) before the disk becomes a coaster?

(upyours) Electronic Arts (upyours)

As far as Force Unleashed - I'm having some fun with it. The fighting gets a bit repetitive - the boss fights weren't horrible (the camera pulls out a bit too far IMO), but the cutscene kill stuff gets annoying. On the bright side, it's still better than the final cutscene BS on the Naruto: Rise of a Ninja game - that's just designed to piss people off.

Yeah I know thats going to ******* piss me off when I get to that point of the installs. If I knew that I wouldnt of said i was one of the things I wanted for my bday. However its still a pretty neat game.

They may have a work around on this issue later on in the life of the game. I think their also may be legal issues due to the fact that It didn't state anything about it on the box itself. Sure it states it in the manual but once you open the game its yours and you cant take it back because its opened.

Whats said is the DRM is to prevent hackers but the game was hacked and posted on the web a week before the release date!!!

Yeah - from what I've heard, the EULA (End User License Agreements) don't hold up for s*** in court because they aren't posted anywhere that can be seen until you've rendered the product unreturnable. Regardless, that's more of a hassle than I want to deal with - I liked Mass Effect (Xbox360 version), but with that sort of DRM s***, I'm not going to be buying any PC software for some time.

lucky I cant really get to far out of my area due to the grox attacking me eveyr 30 secounds. Attacking other planets on a laptop is a pita.

you really have to take the fight to them. go to their planets and somwehat stabilize the atmosphere and it kills their colonies. after that just set up your own colonies in their space as you go along so you can keep repairing yourself and give them a decoy target. it takes a while to get to the center but it works. as far as fighting them on their planets, you have to get to the surface asap and raise your shields then use those really expensive missles to take them out when they are circling you

planet buster works too, but you will loose allies

Tie Fighter FTMFW!! It was a great game, but I sadly lost my copy some time ago when I was in college. A good friend of mine still reminds me how stupid I was for loosing that game lol....he ended up joining the air force, so you can guess why he takes his flight games so seriously...

I'll probably buy 2 used copies online for xmas.

It's dissapointing to hear it sucks. I remember Shadows of the empire sucking terribly My fave star wars games of all time are as follows:

Star Wars: Tie Fighter (PC) - I remember playing through this game when I had no joystick. I played through with a key board and a mouse. But the game was so awesome I could not stop. When I got a flightstick pro joystick for my birthday, this became the BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knights of the Old Republic (PC) - So deep, so awesome....so fun.
Knights of the Old Republic 2 (PC)
Rogue Squadron (Gamecube) Best looking SW game I've ever played. Bespin and cloud city level is UNREAL!
Star Wars: X-wing (PC)
Star Wars Jedi Knight (PC)
Star Wars Dark Forces (PC)

Was hoping to add force unleashed to this list. Will have to play and see.

well i bought this game and he wasnt lieing. the demo was cool because you were so much more powerful than the enemies, but the game as you become more powerful, so do your enemies. they have these puzzles that dont give you enough time to solve them because you have to use the force to move stuff but the targeting is awful so you cant grab what you want. im only playing on the apprentice setting and its harder than hell. i might not even finish it because this last puzzle is too much of a pita
