Standback users boost pressure question

I have a question for everyone with a standback and some mods about how much boost they run and hold.

With the Standback you should get solid boost at what you set. I used to hold a solid 15 or 17 but those days are long gone. I am trying to backtrack to figure out where I went wrong in the mods and allowed this crazy over boosting.

So my set up is,
CP-E Standback, CP-E CDFP, Cobb SRI, Custom 2.5" Turbo inlet hose, Turbo XS FMIC, CP-E HKS SSQV, Corksport/Vibrant TBE with one high flow cat. I spike boost in the 21 range and can not get it any lower.

If you have similar mods and different boost pressures please share.

Not sure if this makes sence on this car but on my rx-7 I remember that after a certain point of better flowing parts being added the wastegate couln't vent enough air to keep boost from creeping or spiking to high. The fix was porting the internal wastegate and putting something on the cover so it would still seal which I belive most people were just using a small washer. Just putting the thought out there and sorry if it's wrong.

No your on the right idea and I presonally think thats where I am at. I want input from people on stock turbos with all these mods. The rebuilt upgrade turbos are on stock wastegates as best the manufactors will say. The upgrade turbos still suck according to a shop on these boards and a GT turbo will not cure the over boost inconsistoncies of a small wastegate. I am not the only person overboosting if that is the case but no one else comes forward to say that their car is uncontrable and runs what ever boost it wants.

I have just about every bolt on except for the HPFP upgrade and have no problems holding 15 psi. I sometimes see a small spike if its realy cold out, but I don't have probelms with boost creep or any other inconsistancies..
