It's on both driver and passenger side front calipers. I tried to remove on passenger side and it stained the caliper even after degreaser and light sanding. Is this factory brake goo? Brake fluid? Anyone else have this? Expected? I'm not noticing anything funny during braking and it brakes fine. What is this crap? I haven't used tire dressing on this car yet. Having dealer check tomorrow.

I would go ahead and paint them silver, gun metal or some other neutral color. I'm not a fan of brightly colored calipers. Not sure what it could be.

Black calipers look nice on CWP. So do red though. hate to see you waste warranty money getting them replaced (they are actually not warranted once you have driven off the lot usually) for you to then just paint them anyway. You try brake cleaner on them?

Mine have some black staining on both front calipers also. But it doesn't look like fluid seaping marks. It's just towards the bottom of both calipers. I don't think it's brake dust since I've tried to rub it hard with my fingers and they're pretty clean after rubbing. I'll try brake cleaner next time I have the wheels off. Report back and let us know if you find out anything.

I had something like that on my calipers too, but I just painted them red couldn't be happier, now to just save off enough money for new rims.

if u want to be really baller paint them camo! that way people cant even tell u have breaks! because they wont be able to find them! :)

I thought about getting the brake calipers sanded and powder coated black.

I dont know if sanding would do it and I can only imagine the tear down of the caliper in order for them to be able to Powder Coat. I learned a lot about Powder Coating a couple weeks ago as I was shopping around to have my stocker rims PC'ed. HOLY CRAP! It is expensive and everything has to be down to bear metal which is expensive to do when you are talking about removing any kind of factory coating. They make Black Caliper Paint, you could start there.

I've been thinking about red caliper paint, but the black sounds great. they won't be eye catching, but it will be hot

I had that. Painted the calipers red. Now my red calipers are stained. I think it is time to paint them black.(uhm)
