staggered wheels?

We are all just concerned that if you guys set your car up this way, you might make the turning not as good as it is now. If it is for looks cool, I like that VW.peace

Staggered wheels on a 4-door front wheel drive car = Not cool....but that just my opinion..and it doesn't matter what kind of car..

It's you're car...If you're gonna get offended by people saying it'll be lame...don't ask for peoples opinions...especially on da internets...

Whats up with the new style of having tires not big enough for your rims? IMO it looks ugly as hell to have your tires not at least coming to the edge of your rim.

They should have NOTHING in common...Looks lame pretty much all 4 door cars...even if you put them on a new M5...I would consider it lame..

This is a 2-door RWD style...should have been kept that way...

m5's come from the factory with a staggered setup if i recall correctly, i think it looks awesome on any car if its done right and not riced out... especially vw's and audis.. i'm curious as to see what the 3 is going to look like with this kind of a setup since they kind of have similar lines to the mk4 gti (at least i think so)

Not really new. It's called Stretch and Poke and it's been in the VAG (VW Audi Group) community for some time now. It's not my cup of tea, tho.

Saw a "Stretched and Poked" VW GTI.... I couldn't stop laughing...It looks like hell...If it even looked good, I would be more accepting of it, but it just looks terrible...

So where's the Staggered MS3 at???? I want to see this trainwreck...and I'm proud to see there is a P5 in the mixed to be "stretched and Poked...

I dont know. This staggered look is hot!! However sounds like a world of trouble for the mazda. The whole idea with the staggered is to have that fat lip on the back wheel. If its show, freakin go for it. if its your DD, give up the idea. unless you get that 5series :)

agree staggered is sexy, but when ppl know for a fact the car is fwd, it just makes the owner look dumb. I saw a golf today with a nice body kit and nice staggered, deep dish rims. Hot car, but dumb ass

I've read numorous posts in this thread about it looking stupid on a FWD, but what about the fact that the car's suspension was tuned for a specific sized wheel/tire combo and it could prove to be dangerous to change the geometry. Maybe not during everyday grandma driving, but if for some reason you need to react quickly to avoid some numbnut pulling into your lane, the car may not handle the way you'd expect it to. If you want something that looks cool, why not go wider all around? At least then you'll be able to rotate tires. I had an S2000 that came from factory with a staggered setup and it got abit expensive when I was on my 3rd set of tires in just over 40k miles, which may have been stretched abit if I were able to rotate them. I was running 225/45-17 in the front and 255/40-17's in the back. I went through my OE RE050's on that car in less than 20k, miles. Not cheap.

ultra rice attempt. instead of throwing your money out the window on paul walker mods like this why not spend it on something good? if you think your going to turn heads with staggered wheels on a fwd its because people will be laughing at you not because they think its cool. sorry but its the truth.

why not put some fake hood and roof scoops on while your at it

ouch! but true. it is your car, and you asked for an opinion, on a public forum from some of the most sarcastic, harsh fools out there. i think staggered wheels on the MS3 would scream "poseur". i wouldn't do it. to much value in rotating the tires.
