Actually, the backseats are fairly roomy in the Neon. The rear windows only go 1/2 way down, so I don't see why they need to be power. No the SRT4 doesn't have as many creature comforts but those can easily be added after as you like. The MSP vs SRT4 and whatever else debate rages on but they are both great cars, just a little different.

well, I've driven both and own and an MSP. Have also owned two Neon ACR's.
the MSP is a much nicer car, but the Neon is still just a neon the base is still the base Daimler Chrylser (DC) car. Even the sales manager for the local DC dealer after driving my car preffers the MSP. (and we're both racers.)
Both of my Neon's broke windshields in AutoX at least once a year, needed head gaskets replaced often and had worse torque-steer than our MSP's do.
Will the Neon take you off the line, maybe a few times. Are forged pistions nice, yes I have a set in my 911 but I'll bet a 'hundie our cars will be running after the loans are paid off unlike the Neons.

NEON (piss) I had one, thought about the SRT-4 Drove both the MSP and PooPy Neon, and guess what ? I bought the MSP.
The MSP is less of a raw performance car than the neon. The neon can be made to go fast 1/4, and handle well pretty easily.
The MSP shines out, in convience features, like power windows, and the nicer sound system, and it looks nicer..although I think a SRT-4 in black looks decent. (which is why I chose the spec v over the MSP more convience features)
The neon is no doubt faster, and it's easier to make cars handle better than go faster straight line.
I agree though the Neon interior isn't that cheap, it's better than the original neons, and the seats looks sweet.
Still...it's a hell of a car for sub 20K...performance wise...the MSP doesn't touch it, tuning potential...alot of cars don't touch it.
That Beefy engine was designed to take boost.

The srt-4 is a good car, but I wouldn't go as far as to say the MSP doesn't touch it performance wise...

My 10 yr old (in 6 yrs) will be driving this MSP as her first car even after I mod it to 215 WHP. Its a 15 yr car for sure unlike the "Peon."
