Srt-4 Best Handeling Ff Car Ever, A Fact!!

Still smoking crack on this thread huh?

I will run back to back sessions this Fall at PIR in both cars, and I bet money (against myself?) that the MSP turns faster times. The only way the SRT will keep up is the long front and back straights where it can lay down the power.

BTW the SRT is governed to 153.

I drive one this weekend. They handle well if you know how to drive them. It's mostly the owners that don't know how to drive. I Drove my neighbors during a fun run at the autocross. I got a 58.8 the first and only run I drove it. He was unable to break 59 all day. I think a couple more runs and a better seat position could have gotten me down to where my car was at in the high 55's

i'll put money that stock for stock and give the MSP some NICE seats and it'll pull better times, lol and considering the savings of mazdaspeed VS. SRT- you could have the power matched up, the seats and money left over and the MSpw ould KILL! in the otto-crawz

What savings? They both retail for ~$21,000.

my roomate paid 20 out the door for a brand new 04...used they are going for around 17k...not much more then a msp.

who cares, either car can be made to handle better then the other, what will really matter is who is behind the ****** wheel...

bulls*** on those numbers thrillride. The MSP is diffently faster in the slalom. The msp was right behind the sti and evo in the slalom that I believe car and driver did when it had just come out. No way the srt-4 handles that good out of the box.
i'm sorry you feel that way. you said check scc mag. well seeing as i have a subscription and i am hold right now the new ed with the 8 great rides and i am looking at the srt4 and it says 71.3 and the last year ed of 8 great rides by scc mag says the msp ( and we all know these numbers anyway) puts down 70.3. that is one whole mile per hour faster than the msp.

and the msp even has better stock tires for road racing. the kdw's are very nice but the RE040's are a much greater tire for the turns. straight line i take the kdw's.

uhh different conditions are gonna make for different numbers. Speed magazine, motortrend, car and driver all say the srt4 is behind in handling. Not to mention nothing on the suspension changed for 04.

thats fine. in understand you have your opinion and prefer the msp over the srt4. i am simply telling you the numbers from scc that you said everyone should look at. i also know i have driven both and the srt4 is no slouch. for for autocrossing i would take the srt4 and put on a better autox tire. just my opnions. take it or leave it.

Thrillride, though I agree with you that the SRT-4 is one hell of a handler, especially with LSD, I gotta say that SCC is not the bible. Numbers vary from mag to mag, and I'm sure I could drudge up numbers from another respectable car mag that will show the MSP has better slalom numbers.

lol Kain. i am aware scc is not the end all. that is just the one notorious chose to speak of. i simply set it strait since i have the mags. but please do bring in the comparos from the other mags. i would like very much to see how much the slolom numbers differ from mag to mag. i have the car and driver issue that tested all of the "featherweight" sport compact including the msp and the srt4 for 2003. the srt 4 took first place overall and the msp took 3rd. but i dont think that issue had slolom numbers. regardless lets see the #'s if you can get them.

All this MSP vs the world of cars thing IS starting to get tiresome. If you want a comparison of the 2, just go and test drive the other. Like someone else mentioned, any car can be made to out perform another. Ultimately, it's the driver who drives the car well is what determines how good it is.

and there you have it...thats what the fun run is for...see how the other car rides.

i guess the reason why msp is noton the best list in a magazine recently was cos that the msp is not in production anymore..i would like to see an srt live to 6 years with it on the road running.hehe...i heard they have a short life span..hehe
I heard the same thing about the MSP ;)

I saw a flame red SRT totaled (Rolled multiple times) in 3 days of ownership! can anyone beat that?

also I beleve the changes were qualife limited-slip dif...stage 2 injectors, sport pedals and electric blue as added/and or replaced solar yellow.

Are you talking about the upgrades from 03 to 04? In that case, yeah - the option of a Kicker Livin' Loud Stereo System, pedals, optional sun-roof, Quaiffe LSD, KDW tires, and the Electric Blue paint. The 05's I believe will be the same as the 04's, instead of the addition of Hemi Orange. Not sure if it's replacing another color.
